Or perhaps he will be out of the rotation....a changing of the guard, if you will....
He'll get lost on the Underground........The wrong queue.......without a clue.
Anyone any luck with getting tickets?
Its a good thing the game is in January at this rate. Team should be warmed up by then.
I did, but by the time I had conferred with friends I ended up with nosebleed seats. Bloody expensive too - decent bays were about $200 while I ended up with mine for $120.
At that price...with this team...I hope you also got dinner, and a good room for the night.
It's still probably 50/50 that you can get hit by a Pistons air ball in your seats.
I went through the O2 site to get my tickets. It took me three tries getting worst tickets every time :-(. I managed to get tickets for level 1 but after selecting the seats, i went to the pay out and the site threw me out. Once i was back in 10 sec later only the level 4 tickets were still there. So i managed to get different tickets but this time way up in level 4. It said anything better was sold out. When i had paid the tickets it suddenly showed they were for seperate seats (seat numbers got changed and were very far apart)). Since i am going with my 12 year old son seperate seats is not an option. So i went in again and finally managed to get 2 seats next to eachother. This means i still have 2 seperate (single) seats available if anyone wants to buy any. Price will be the original price for which i bought them, around 65 British pounds. If anyone is interested then just send me a msg through the site.
@ Del; what section are you in?
I heard the Pistons are so bad you pay less the closer to the floor you sit.
I can't wait to hear game reports from those that attend this game!!
I'll be there, picked up some decent seats.
I was in a similar boat to you; was in training in London when the tickets were released and trying to confirm with my mate in London and girlfriend in Geneva how much they wanted to pay. By the time I decided I would just pay the difference of their tickets to sit closure, the section 1 were gone and the section 4 ones near the rail that I had settled on, had also gone. I ended up in middle of section 4 and not very happy about it considering the (final) price (GBP65). Also seeing how empty the Palace is and that I could get similar seats in a cereal packet at the moment.
Add in the return flights from Geneva (CHF365) and a hotel (GBP100), and I'm looking at around CHF600 ~ USD600.
There is a resale site below if you want to move closure (or sell your extra tickets) but you are looking at GBP170+
Detroit Pistons vs. New York Knicks The O2 arena London Tickets | Thursday, 17 January 2013 - viagogo
Watching Rod Stuckey and his .282 shooting percentage is worth every euro!
The bright side of sitting in section 4 is that the farther away you get from the court, the better the Pistons look.
The most entertaining part of this game is a chance to see and hear EuroSheed in action for the Knicks.
...I'm totally jealous.
What's the over/under on how many times Sheed says "bloody ball don't lie!"?
Sitting in section 4 can't be worse than watching the Pistons play from the upper bowl in the Silverdome. We used to do that all of the time.
How big of a nightmare would it be for the franchise if it turned out that we were getting punk'd and our real opponent is going to be the harlem globetrotters?
Perhaps the winless Pistons could take over the role of the Washington Generals, who won only 6 games and lost over 13,000. It was the Generals, though, that broke the Globetrotters 2,499-game winning streak with a 100-99 victory in 1971.
In case anybody still want tickets, i have 2 spare ones:
Block 413, Row C, Seat 745
Block 413, Row J, Seat 762
Total Cost: £ 134.80 (original price)
Send me a msg on the website if you are interested.
I am almost certain I will be out of the country that week, so I know I can't make it
