    Duh. Why do they have to put the word brown next to his picture? They think we are color blind or something? Sheeeeesh.

    Wallace x 2 ---> Flip x 2 ---> Kwame x 2

    Someone go grab Jesse so he can cut my nuts off. the guess the Artest and Josh Smith crap was just a smokescreen so we could land the real goods!

    In a slant of the words of Obi-Wan..."this was not the deal I was looking for" :nerd2:

    Nevertheless, it seems like an indicator that other things are brewing

    I thought it was a joke at 1st. What happened to not spending the MLE on 1 player? Especially this one.

    Gotta believe another deal is in the making. Talking about Joe D dropping it like it is hot.

    This deal just came out of nowhere, no speculations, just quietly done.

    Kwame?? I don't know about him, never really lived up to his draft status, a seriously big body that can clog up the middle, I guess we will see what he will bring to the pistons.

    Kwame is a very good post defender and he can rebound. That's worth 4 million a year easy for a center. Good, solid signing. Could mean we're looking to move a big (Sheed?).

    This isn't the whole MLE, btw. We still have nearly 2 million on that and the LLE if we want to search out some other bargains.

    Well I guess I don't have to compare Amir to Kwame Brown anymore. :)

    Diop got the full MLE for however many years he could (5?). There's almost no difference between him and Brown. They're very good defensive centers who give nothing on offense. I'd say we underpaid if anything. Short deal means total flexibility too. Not a "OHMYGOD" type of signing, but it is very solid.

    If he gets any touches other than point-blank-no-defenders-around dunks we are going to hate him with a fiery passion by December.

    That said, he and Sheed would probably make a good low post defensive team.

    His 3.5 points and 3.8 boards per game with Memphis was just too much for Joe D to pass up on.:noidea:

    I see one big problem with Kwame. He wears 54. Maxey and him might have to fight over it.

    We have too many bigs, I believe a trade is in the works, so everyone just standby.

    The guy made a boat load of money for doing almost nothing. Now he's cutting salary by half+ to the tune of $4M because no one else wanted him...pretty good gig. You really have to wonder if Joe thought this one out...it should have been a team option. Maybe after paying Darko $4M/year Kwame seems like a bargain to Joe :nerd2:

    Got a backup center. Not bad at all. Probably means that Theo's gone. Getting younger too. And he can spell Sheed on defense, that is if Sheed doesn't get moved.
