PG will be the first player in the history of the NBA to have the first name of Luigi.
That's hard to believe. Seems like their have been several guys named Luigi.
Pizza Guy seems a little ethnically insensitive. Although I guess it's better than Spaghetti Guy.
ahhh, its better call him a "Guy" can't go wrong with this one unless he is actually a transvestite. ....... screw it. Again, too tochy subject, label him with random combination of numbers and....you know, they do it in certain facilities...
I didn't notice that in his background...
y so mad?
This pretty much secures our spot in the playoffs.
I don't view it that way at all. Italy is a Country, not a race. Their are people of ALL different races that call themselves Italians. ...and technically, Pizza is more North American than Italian. Which is why it's such a stupid Nickname (*news flash* - I appreciate stupid humor)
Calling Kravtsov "The Russian Guy (TRG)" is especially funny since he is actually from the Ukraine. PG seems like a great name for Luigi.
"Gigi" was Datome's nickname in Italia. Fine by me.
Works for me as well
That isn't 1/100th as cool as Pizza Guy. Plus, it makes me think of this:
This thread has really evolved
If we call him Pizza Guy, then when he gets a dunk, Blaha can yell "the Pizza Guy delivers!"
He could be "hot and ready" off the bench similar to the microwave.
"Count that baby and a free order of breadsticks!"
So.... after 4 pages of absolute nonsense, does anyone have any actual info on him other than he is the Italian league mvp who looks like Rick Fox?
Nope, not really. My guess is that he will hardly play, and Lee will be convinced that he could be the savior of the team.
Pizza Guy is called an "Italian Austin Daye" here: Deflections: Late Notes on Joerger, Allen Reaction, Free Agency Update | Beyond the Arc
Wouldn't be any different than any other day
