They could always give a promising young find Bynum's spot. Not to mention Singler, JJ, probably Jorts too. None of these guys should have been given a spot on this year's roster without competing for it - cause they really are not that good.

Doesn't Will Bynum hold the Pistons single quarter scoring record? The only PG who could manage to make Austin Daye look like he belongs in the NBA? The man who Andre Drummond has created an unbreakable bond of love and respect with?

Yeah, like you're going to find a guy like that unsigned.

Bynum, Singler and JJ all proved themselves last season, and in previous years. Jorts is borderline, but we need a backup big in that spot, not a 5th PG.

    Marko Jaric.

I remember when every thread used to degenerate into a Darko war. Then a few years later every thread was killed by the name Stuckey. Now, you can't delve into a thread without Will Bynum causing searing flashes of page steals (rather ludicrously). Will freaking Bynum of all people. How on earth did this happen?

    Oh wait, I know.

Yes, he does have that record (26). He is also the only Piston in history not named Isiah Thomas or Kevin Porter to have 20 assists in a game.

I'm glad you put things into perspective. That's only 6.89 TO p/36 and something we should all aspire to.

Why are we still complaining about Bynum? The guy can make the team exciting to watch and plays great in short spurts. If the coach regulates his minutes properly I think he could have a great year.

I think all of the discussion about PGs is a bit too strong. Jennings is our starting point as soon as he comes back.

I think Peyton Siva may be the greatest Piston of all time when it comes to the Near Steals category.

    He's had 20+ assists twice, I think.

And they didn't even put him in the game until the 4th quarter each time.

Silly man. Everybody knows assists have nothing to do with winning games.

And in the 3 instances of his 20+ pt quarter and 20+ assist games, winning the game often has nothing to do with winning basketball.

You don't need assists to score baskets. You do need baskets to get assists.

Tonight the Pistons take on the Wizards in a preview of opening night. With the game being broadcast on Fox Sports Detroit, this marks the official return of our loyal television broadcast crew.
