We'll surely pass the Nets now that they are saddled with that all-star PG. But we have no chance of catching the Raptors or any of the other leaders... even if we lose out.

#6 position has the following odds of getting the following picks:

    #1 pick: 6.3%
    #2 pick: 7.1%
    #3 pick: 8.1%
    #6 pick: 43.9%
    #7 pick: 30.5%
    #8 pick: 4%
    #9 pick: 0.1%

So, odds of a top 3 pick are 21.5%.

Very high odds that we either get our slotted pick at #6 or slide to #7 (where a team outside of the top 3 leapfrogs into the top 3).

This will be our best opportunity since we got the #2 pick from the Otis Thorpe trade...

Well looks he knows how to dunk which would mean he would avoid getting his shot more than Monroe did his first month.

I saw more blocks in the clip than I have see Monroe swat away all season.

Put another 15 pounds on him and I'd take him as that second round pick.

Is it time to open up the Pistons draft potential thread?

What about the Michigan PG Morris with that early 2nd round pick?

For some reason I'm coveting Kenneth Faried from Morehead State. I'm just a casual internet fan, but I gotta think he's going to do well. The only reason I can see that he didn't go to one of the top programs is that he was academically ineligible initially.

    Oh yeah, and JIMMERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!

Faried is currently slotted at the #23 spot. Unless we do some trading, we won't have any picks in that area.

Not sure if he has declared or needs the cash yet...(we all do).

He's pretty good, but needs another year in my opinion to polish those skills...to much dribbling, but that is Bielin system I guess.

Sticking at the M another year with the cast they have gets them to Big 10 title game next year and a definite sweet 16 candidate and beyond.

He is listed at #39 in the nbadraft.net's mock draft. The Pistons are slated to draft at #35. I'm not sure how they decide which draft to put the underclassmen. It's probably a lot of guesswork. They have current high school seniors to be the first 7 draft picks taken in the 2012 draft:

This was a pretty unexciting race!

Sort of an Al Capone's vault type of a thread.

I'm surprised this thread didn't become the wasteland for other discussions. Talking about draft choices makes sense as that is as close as we've ever expected to get to the playoffs this year.

Not everyone thought we never had a chance. Lee, Max, and Rascoe all predicted we would win 55 or more games this season....

Based on the remaining schedule of games, they might get 30 wins. But based on recent play they may fall a couple short and maybe match last seasons' injury riddled team with 27 wins.

When this thread was started the goal was to catch the Pacers for the 8th spot, and the Pistons have gone 1-5 since. In fact both the Pacers and the Pistons are 2-8 in their last 10, so the Pistons should have at least split the last six to gain a couple of games, but they have gained nada and probably won't at this point.

Close thread and reopen as Race for top 5 draft spot:)
