Thanks for the complement...I think? I try to stay young by hanging out with you young whipper snappers on the forum. I don't want to point fingers, but I do recall at least one other relic on the forum not named Woody that indicated he was about my age...+ or - 5 months.

Those late 60's and early 70's were dominated by the Celtics, Knicks and Bucs in the east so Dave Bing, Jimmy Walker and Dave Debusherre could never get over the hump even when The Dobber showed up in 1970.

Pretty sure old skool hq is older than dirt. Possibly older than clay too.

Nemo is now referring to himself in the third person.

I seem to recall something in the DSM about that...

Phil Jackson didn't want to be a Nets coach. He said he doesn't want to coach in NBA, but he is looking for some other job, something in management. Do you think he could be our Pat Riley?

Phil is in town. I thought the air seemed a little more tranquil this morning.

At least until the guys showed up who are putting a brick patio in at the neighbor's house.

This is the BEST in sports writing foolishness. It almost makes me happy. Not to mention the ridiculous timing of criticizing this move when NO ONE thought Joe D needed to have his sovereignty respected after this abysmal season

There's a story at RealGM today saying Phil is open to coaching if he is allowed to have influence on the roster. (I can't post a link because that site is blocked here at work).

Sounds like the Pistons would be an ideal situation for him if Gores put his thumb on Dumars

I can't wait to read the articles about the treachery that Dumars was subjected to and how his job was "stolen" from him.

That would be a new challenge for him, unless he sees something in the Pistons. Just not his type of gig.

I have the sneaking suspicion that Gores is going to offer the Clippers a location trade.

Groundwork already laid, about how the whole idea was wrong and how Dumars deserves more.

I'm one who thinks he needs this last chance, but this is how big business is done. You bring in folks to consult on things, so I think this is probably how Gore's does business in all parts of his empire. Till I hear we have Jackson taking Dumars place I'll consider this a minor story really.
