Just looked back. In the last 6 games of the last 4 seasons (5 this year), the Pistons are 15-8.

This is the opposite of tanking. There needs to be a term for this.

I like watching my team win, I dunno about you.

    Winning makes the team better.

I like seeing them win too....but not when it comes down to possible lottery position and a win complicates matters.
This phenomenon is called "Untanking-we ain't really that bad!"

I like the title to this thread.

This win streak is going to lead off Joe's and Tidbits power point presentation to Gores on why the Pistons should bring them back.

a 4 game winning streak at this point of the season is even worse than a 4 game losing streak when things matter.

Every year it's the same... I learned to seriously change this in my mind... I just imagine that this W's came up in january and the L's from march came in here... just flipping things in my mind so I don't get crazy another year..

I wish I would have had the foresight to place a number of significant wagers on these late season games during these last 2 or 3 years. This is the closet thing that you can get to a sure-fire thing when it comes to betting on sports.

If it makes the team better, their record should be improved by now, no?

They happened to play some bad teams a the end of recent years. No shock - my guess is the NBA tries to schedule possible playoff matchups to make the end of the season more interesting.

This feels eerily similar to CV dunking in garbage time and posing for the cameras as his team is being routed.

unlikely from previous seasons - this team resembles for me all-rookie team - CAS and stuckey are the oldest from active players.... and they also are fighting for minutes... like the rest of team.

benched players - calderon, maxiell and magette - all vets and expiring contracts.
