I didn't sign him. I'm just wondering what the expectation was vs his actual performance.

Why waste all the money on a guy that only satisfies situations that arise for 189 minutes per year? Did SVG think he'd be perfect for guarding stretch 5's on the perimeter, only to be terribly disappointed when a 7'4" giant showed up?

Just pointing out that based on his performance in limited minutes last year, he's maintaining the same level of production... which is pretty spectacular. Opponents are scoring 96 points per 48 min with him on the court (the same as with Baynes on the court). So, it doesn't appear as though the flood gates are opening up when he's out there.

If I were coaching and if I stuck my neck out to pay him with my boss's money, I'd be tempted to ramp up his minutes until I actually witnessed negative results.

This is a guy who posted 15 points and 19 rebounds in only 22 minutes to help generate a win and then played 0.3 seconds the next night. A few games later, he goes on a 14 out of 16 game DNP-CD stretch.

No. He was insurance if Baynes left and the market for Centers was too rich for the Pistons this summer.

He was never signed to play this year short of injuries to Dre and Baynes.

SVG prefers to go small with Leuer at the 5.

I say go big. Start Ish, KCP, Harris, Drummond, Boban. Pick and roll the other team to death. When Boban sets a screen, he traps at least 3 defenders. He is that big.

That would be a great volleyball team.

But our team doesn't play in transition, so that point is irrelevant.

His half court defense is good enough and his half court offense appears to be pretty damn good.

Please no, not super big again.

Boban receives the ball in the post better than almost anyone. He really spreads his base out and gets in the paint.

Just don't know why he falls down after half his baskets.

I think he learned the "fall down" move from Dwayne Wade.

Boban simply wants that and-one call.
