For Susie 914 and Darth...and anyone else who wants to jump aboard the Eagles Choo Choo...

September 19th...Lions Vs. Eagles at Ford Field...I'm flying into Detroit for a week (and staying with Know All and his lovely family) just to watch the Eagles prevail...(I Hope/Pray they prevail, because my friend at work in Idaho flew in to see the Hated Wolverines crush Appalaichian State a couple years ago, and we all know how THAT turned out).:pound:In a couple of years we might stop laughing at him.

" I've accumulated an Eagles Hoodie sweatshirt, McNabb Jersey (which I plan to wear when they shovel dirt on me, lol), Mcnabb bobble, license plate holder, pennant, coffee cup, coffee hot/cold tumbler, Eagles fake tattoos, McNabb portrait with frame and trading card & Eagles embossed nameplate, a big eagle flag to hang from a flag post on my house (just got that as gift), and an Eagle garden gnome."

Oh...and I've also got an Eagles key chain, an Eagles neck lanyard, bedsheets and comforter for my kid's room, enrolled him in the Eagles Kid's club" and I bought a beautiful Eagles one of a kind hand made rosary in Eagles colors from Kimmee (Aurora). :):cheerleader:

I'll be glad to help shovel potatoes over you when you go.

While you're collecting all that memorabellia, you really should invest in
    a St. Louis jersey.

I know a Cardinal fan who can get you one.

Isn't there an age requirement to this cheap dime store forum? I thought you couldn't be a member if you were over 89 years old or still in diapers (oh...wait...maybe you DO meet that criteria).:pound:

Since I have been a fan alot longer than you, I can't even begin to list all my stuff, believe me, I got alot. I can't resist. I think you should go get your tatoo, you'll be showing it off big time and smiling all the while. :)I love showing mine off. Don't get it too small tho, when a guy gets one thats too small, it makes him look like a wimp.
I can't believe I'm on my favorite Piston board and talking Eagle football! This if fun!:)

    But...I AM a wimp!! :nerd2:

Just got my 2010 Reebok Eagles Sideline hat at the mall. The sales guy was really cool...except he was a friggin' Dallas Brokeback Mountain Cowboy fan!! :gun1:(Plus a Lakers fan...but better than Miami, I suppose.:)

Truth be told, I like the Eagles much better than the Pistons...but I hang around here because SOMEBODY has to keep Rascoe in line...:pound::stirthepot:

Darth, I am impressed at your level of devotion to the Eagles. I'm going to continue to do my duty and crack jokes about it at your expense, but there's something to be said for that kind of fan loyalty. Just look at how much the Lions franchise is missing out on if they had been serious about building a good team.

    With that said...

    I think I found the choo-choo you're talking about.

The cables look to be in fine condition. I wish I could say the same about that train of yours. :stirthepot:

Looking Ahead: Philadelphia Eagles pose serious matchup problems for Detroit Lions | MLive.com

Nice in depth analysis of the September 19th game by Mlive.

"With the amount of talent the Lions have on offense, there is hope they could win a shootout. But unless the Lions can rattle Kolb early, or they hit a couple home runs early with wideout Calvin Johnson and/or rookie tailback Jahvid Best, I don't see them drawing the Eagles into a shootout. Philly should be able to control the ball, and keep the heat on Stafford at a rolling boil. It should be back-and-forth for a half, or maybe three quarters, but a victory is going to require a masterful coaching job, a lot of help from the crowd, and a lucky bounce – or several."

Yep. Making a special trip to Detroit to see it. Only my 2nd trip there since 2004. I can't wait for it to start either. Most people are predicting 7-9 wins. I hope we stay healthy.
