Let's not forget all the troops that have been reading.
Good to see Nassim Taleb finally write something about himself. We are paying Boban 90% of that to warm the bench. Where is most of Philly's money even going?
Must be some sort of tax scheme.
Wow. You're paying for lunch.
Prolly a C/C- for coaching and a B/B- as an executive. He is trending upwards in the former and downward in the latter. He did not do a good job this past off-season addressing what CLE's front court did to them in the playoffs and it is still a weakness.
Jon Leuer is the man!
Roster B+ to A- Coaching C- to D+ I didn't know what was possible but he seemed frugal. He improved the team ~ .06 %
12? I think we go back 14 years to the DetNews days in 2003....old 357 magnum Lee
Yeah, because CLE keeps eliminating us in the ECF every year. LOL Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. He's 27, so he can still get better.
Leuer is shooting .295 from 3-point range in 25 games as a starter. He's getting 1.28 free throw attempts per game as a starter. His per 100 possession +/- went from +5.6 as a reserve to -5.8 as a starter. He's 8-38 from the arc since the end of Jan. Meanwhile, Tobias Harris is seeing the opposite effect going against easier competition off the bench. His TS% went from .555 (excellent) to .605 (off the charts). His +/- went from -2.9 to +2.0. His minutes per game didn't really change that much. I'm only pointing out the +/- thing here to show how it correlates to which unit a guy is on. Overall, our bench seems to be better than most other benches and our starting lineup has been worse than other starting lineups. Switching Leuer and Harris didn't really change that dynamic. But whichever guy comes off the bench, seems to have an easier time being efficient. We got a little pop after the switch was made, but here is an alternate theory for why that occurred. The change was made near the beginning of January. Reggie Jackson shot .449 from 3-point land in January. Then, in Feb, the wheels came off for him and he shot .293 in February. His scoring per game fell from 19.6 point to 10.1. By the way, we have to have the most balanced scoring of any 5 man starting unit in history right now: Reggie: 14.8 KCP: 14.6 Morris: 14.7 Leuer: 11.1 Drum: 14.7
Lure is killing us.
What is killing us, I think, is a disguised complacency. We can not stay "in tonus" for a significant period of time. The main culprits, in my opinion, are SVG, Drummond and Jackson. The NBA season is a marathon.
That one was just too easy, mate.
