Impressive!!!! What a game for Germany!

Thomas Muller with 11 goals already!! wow! And Miroslav Klose scored one too!!!. I feel sorry for Ronaldo (The brazilian). Anyway, Muller will beat them both in a few years.

Brazil - Argentina is a huge rivalry, so, here they are all happy about what happend to Brazil.
    I'm not.
    I'm happy for Germany though.

But Argentina needs to win tomorrow and sunday to be happy. We shall see.

    I can't remember who I picked.

But seeing David Luiz weep made me smile.

    Oh.....my.....God!.....

Nobody saw that coming. That 20 minute stretch was incredible. What a complete collapse by the Brazilians. The Spanish must be relieved as they are no longer the biggest bust of this tournament. Wow. Just wow.

Amazing that soccer is so iconic that this loss has truly devastated the country of Brazil for years to come.

This is like when that World Basketball Championship team won bronze (that year that Ben Wallace was on it), only if they had gotten boat raced 200-3, except you'd still have to multiply the national effect by like 1000 to properly adjust for how affected the country is by this.

I mean, this happened after it was 4-0 during the first half. And the beating had not even stopped yet.

Argentina vs Germany in the Finals!!

WOW!! JUST WOW!! I'm speachless!! It took me 55 minutes to get back home in a ride that usually takes 12-15 minutes. The streets are clouded with people and other cars with flags and everything.. WOW! just WOW!

9th of July is the Independance Day here, it's so touching and moving.

Just like the 1990 world cup! Argentina past Italy in the penalties and go to the finals against Germany. (Germany won that year, maybe we can take revenge of that)

Now, about the game: I didn't liked it. I didn't liked it at all. It was a boring game to be honest. Both teams play that strategy game of "not lose the ball", even if that means passing the ball back into the defense and the goalkeeper. I never liked that type of strategy and it won't start liking me now.

Penalties are just luck. We gut lucky that Sneijder didn't shot well (The first one was a good save by Romero)

In the 120 minutes of game. Neatherland had not any good chance of score, to be honest.
Argentina had a few more, they didn't know how to capitalize those, though.

It was a well deserved outcome.

Sunday against Germany, is another story.

    Thanks Walter!!

We are really happy just to be here. In 1990 was the last time Argentina reach the Finals. Matter of fact, since that year, 24 years ago, Argentina wasn't able to reach past the quarter finals. (we say 24 years, but it's only 5 world cups.. but still, it hurts to a country SO into "FĂștbol")

So, even if we lose Sunday, I think most of us will be happy here.

Trying to find a bigger fail in a big game we can only think of USA v CCCP 1980.
Due to the political climate it was very hostile. CCCP owned hockey with their "Pros" while USA
still used amateurs. [the kids went beast mode on the Russkies for 60 minutes]

    Congratulations to Germany!
    Well deserved Champions!

I have to say I'm really glad that Germany finally could won a cup (since 1990 they didn't).
    Now They won it.
They have reach at least quarter finals the last years, always at the top but beaten before the finals. I'm glad Klose, Schweinsteiger, and so many more can have this.

I'm sad for my team, but Argentina had one of the easiest path to the finals that could ever be! No disrispect to other teams, but the first TRUE rival was Neatherlands and Argentina dominate them really good. But Germany had a tough tough group with Portugal, Ghana and USA. Later they struggle a little bit against Algeria. But have a tough game against France!
Then they were lucky enough that Brasil wasn't able to count with 2 of their best players and give them a beat!
    And they dominate the finals.
Argentina stood up face to face to Germany. Play this final like equals. That's more to say about Argentina than to Germany!

I'm very happy we are back at the TOP (well, 2nd spot) where we belong!

Argentina had more goal oportunities than Germany, that's true. But Argentina couldn't score. That's going to fall in the shoulders of our attackers.

When the World Cup was about to start I said that Argentina's offense was the best, and the defense had serious limitations. (What I said is what everybody said)
But the world cup proves the contrary! The defense was extremely solid the last 3 games (GErmany, Neatherlands and Belgium). But the offense threw away a lot of oportunities that, maybe, some other teams could capitalize with more success.

It was a great world cup for goalkeepers, I think Neuer was the best, but Tim Howard and Romero were close too. Ochoa and the Nigerian Goalkeeper. they were great also!

Gotze's goal was impressive! And I'm somehow sad that Reus was injured and couldn't be there to lift the world cup.

There were some referee faults. There were faults in my team too, easy plays that didn't scored. Blames to point. A part on some players, another part on the clueless coach. But anyway, we got to the finals and lost against a team that I respect so much! And I think they respect us too.
    Congratulations, Germany!

    Thanks

Well, they were taking it real good yesterday, but there are awful and stupid people everywhere, and then they start smashing things, destroying cars, and other things that makes me very ashamed of being Argentinian.

But those ignorants were not destroying because they were mad against the team, they would have made the same (or bigger) damages even if we were champions!
THAT outcome has nothing to do with the World Cup, I'm afraid.
