The Squirrels would like a 'do-over'.
Too much booze and buds in the war room made for an aweful draft for our squad.
Rufus kept feeding me Gilbey's and grapefuits and buying me lap dances when it was our turn to pick.
    ...gonna be a long season.

What a GREAT DRAFT for the Microwaves.

So excited about my team, I mostly have guys I like. Getting Monta Ellis was huge, because there are very few dual position guards available in the elite tier of a keeper draft.

Not sure about my bigs, I really wanted Noah, but if the Australian guy has a comeback year, we will be very hard to beat. Derrick Favors is important too.

My strategy every year is to compete in a few compatible categories, which means, the guys who are good in 2 of the cats, will probably be naturally good (due to skill or position) at the other 2/3 cats. Then I look for guys who start, then I look for guys who are dual position.

I have never tried to compete on FT% or 3PM. I sometimes win FT% in H2H, but almost never 3P unless my opponent is terrible.

Ok, the rules for this season have been posted on the League Message board.

Remember to set your lineups for Week 1. The cut-off is the first game of the week, which is Tuesday 29th @ 7pm (Magic @ Pacers).

Don't forget to utilise your IR spot if you have an eligible player. It allows you to pick up an extra player from the waiver wire. I can see 3 teams who could be doing this.

Good pick-up of Kaman. I thought about picking him up, but I think I have enough centers. If healthy, he could have a decent year.

I didn't have a very good draft at all.
Combine that with the fact that none of our keepers are top 10 players and I gonna need to make good moves to compete this season. I'm hoping that Caveman can be a decent #4 Center for us this year.

No one has repeated in this league. I might have had a chance but hubris got the best of me, and to be honest, Rondo going down was a deal breaker, although I think it will set me up to be a top 3 team this year. Rose looks simply amazing out there.

The league is up for grabs this year.

That was cool how last year we let BDL win because we felt sorry for him. It's neat how the forum shows compassion like that for the less fortunate. It's what makes this place special.

if he becomes an All Star I'll regret my desperate attempt to avoid status quo bias and will furthermore henceforth return to my old irrational and thus overvaluing players that are already on my team-self.

I don't think you have anything to worry about.
Kaman missed the last two preseason games cuz he has diarrhea.
    That's probably symbolic.

I just read last week that Kaman was going to start. Maybe BDL jinxed him.

My team is loaded. I could just set my lineup right now, take a nap for 6 months, wake up and collect my trophy.

I have 3 of the top 7 guards in Curry, Irving, and Wade.

I have a stable of 4 solid promising centers (Lopez, Hibbert, Pekovic, Verejao).

I've got 5 forwards that fill up the stat sheet (Green, Anderson, Deng, Bargnani, Gallinari).

I grabbed two rookies to observe early as potential young keepers (Burke, Porter Jr.).

I threw in a couple of solid point guards that will provide injury insurance in BK7 and Collison.

Wow, the more I type, the more I realize how stacked my team is. I almost feel guilty.

That's not a bad team in a runner up's league.

Curry - glass ankles; will be injured and out for the season by Xmas.
Irving - this dude hasn't played a full season since high school (assuming he actually managed to make it through a high school season); have they shut him down for the season yet?
Wade - ...um, speaking of injuries; good in a 35 and over league.
Lopez - doesn't rebound; touches will be diminished with new roster; another foot surgery waiting to happen.
Hibbert - fantasy scoring ends prior to the NBA playoffs; Hibbert's reg season numbers are very "ROBIN Lopez like".
Pekovic - not with Kevin Love back; There's a reason why nobody wanted this guy in free agency this summer; ...go figure - he's currently injured.
Sideshow Bob: hasn't topped 31 games in the last 3 seasons; good luck with that!
Green - this guy's an ex-Denver Squirrel who is always "Day to Day".
Anderson - will be traded to Houston and will never touch the ball again.
Deng - "Deng" in the Dinka lauguage translates to "injured"; It's all about Jimmy Butler now man.
Bargnani - Here's the actual first sentence of his ESPN fantasy write-up: "It's almost comical that the Knicks acquired Bargnani, who is best known for being injured often, chucking up bad outside shots and playing zero defense."; ...nuff said homie!
Gallinari - this guy's a poster child for the Affordable Care Act.
Burke - currently hurt (imagine that); Did you happen to watch any of his Summer League games?
    Porter Jr. - ...injured; nexxxxxxxxxxtttttt.
BK7 - I wasn't aware that "getting dunked on" was a fantasy category this year. (btw - he's currently injured)
    Collison - ...lol.

So what you're saying is that Anderson is looking pretty healthy?
