They're not tanking. They're Kuestering.
Washington - Pelicans From Saturday, Feb 4 Another win for the Wizards, another time the Wizards' starters also played all of crunch time. In this crunch time, Wall started off hitting a long outside shot, later pretty much put the game away with another of the same. Meanwhile, the Pels got nothing, as the game finished with a 15 -0 run for Washington. Of note, our old friend Burke is part of a productive bench for the Wizards, with Morris staying over with the bench crew, which also consists of Satoranski, Jason Smith, and Oubre.
I miss Kuester and Bad Back Wilcox.
Philadelphia - Magic From Last night, Thursday night. Despite Illy overall just playing horrid as typical, and despite his 4 - 16 shooting, despite having apparently dead legs and not being able to hit an outside shot, and despite him being a minus 15 for the game, Illy did come on for the last 3 minutes and help win the game for Philly by going inside, drawing fouls, and making his free throws. Of course, if he had not played, Philly would not have needed the comeback. For Orlando, I will call Peyton the scapegoat, for taking a totally ill advised shot that triggered the run for Philly. Yeah, a brick with no offensive rebounders, early in the clock, when Orlando just had to nurse a double digit lead for a few minutes.
Translation: Illy is making Philly great again.
Ibaka was scrambling around like a mad man trying to get away from Illy when Philly was attacking. It ruined Orlandos defensive plan to not guard Illy and they lost their rhythm.
First player in NBA history to get a triple double without reaching double figures in points... Draymond Green records rare triple-double in Warriors' win over Grizzlies
Don't look now but a team in south florida has won 13 games in a row and are a game behind us for 8th place.
On the bright side, the Hornets (2-8), Bucks (2-8), and Knicks (3-7) have all struggled in their last 10 games.
Difference between a team on a mission and a team going through the motions.
have we scored 70 in a half ? GS has done it 8X
The Sixers...without Embiid or Okafor stopped the Heat streak.... Like wise the Hornets lost again to Clippers so we have some room to breath at the 8th spot.
The power of Illy.
It can't be denied. His mere lack of presence destroyed the career of Baynes, relegating him to non-NBA player status.
Game handed to the Bulls, basically a half of a loss for the Pistons.
Terrible call by the refs with less than a second left in the game as the Bulls beat the Celtics on Jimmy Butlers two FT. Butler had missed a fadeway shot as time ran out....and Marcus Smart barely touched Butler's elbow, but was called for the foul anyway. Funny less than 20 seconds before that call, Smart was mugged on the sidelines by Butler and another Bull, and there was no call there. So instead of us being tied for 7th going into the break, we are in 8th....
At first I thought that was a weak foul to decide a game. After watching it another half dozen times on TNT, I now agree with the foul. You can't hit a guy on the elbow on a jump shot. It wasn't a hard hit to the elbow, but it affected the shot. The ref has to make that call and it is the correct call.
I have Jimmy Butler in Keeper. I am for all calls that go his way.
I thought your team was tanking...
I'm beating Linwood this week. Once I dump Dre for nothing, I will be set to make my playoff run.
