Cavs have the worst D in the league in March... with LeBron on the team. Guess it can happen.

I just mean that a team that's good defensively can go into a slump.

Please don't think that I meant "it can happen" refered to beating them in a playoff series.

    Warriors @Spurs

Strange turn of event for the two teams with the best record in the NBA.

Spurs jump off to a 15-0 lead and extend it out to 25-3 lead over the Warriors....what me worried?? Guess not...after trailing by 22 in the first half, the Warrior cruise by the Spurs and win by 110-98. The Warriors have won 8 in a row including back to back wins over the Rockets and Spurs in the Texas take down.

The opening five minutes of game, the Warriors did their best Piston impression of missing everything, but eventually erased any comparison of the motown tankers by disposing of the Spurs scoring 67 points in the 2nd and third quarters...more than the 65 points the Spurs scored the rest of the game.

Wow. Tough to spot the Spurs 15 points.

These guys are good. Without Curry, they were winning in the playoffs last year. Without Durant, they can handle the Spurs.

It's incredible to think that having Curry/Thompson/Durant/and Green doesn't guaranty you a Championship. We are so far away from that.

Philly tanking like champs. They just allowed the last place team in the East (Brooklyn) to put up 141 points on them in regulation (81 in the first half). 8 players were in double digits.

Philly only turned the ball over 11 times and Brooklyn turned it over 19 times, so how did BRK outscore them so badly?

Well, first of all, Brooklyn's eFG for the game was .720. From 3-point land, their eFG was .774.

Secondly, they shot 33 free throws and made 29 of them (.879 from the line).

Dinwiddie went for 13 points, 7 assists, 2 rebs, and 2 steals in 24 min.
Lin went for 16 points, 7 assists, 5 rebs, and 2 steals in 23 min.

Nobody on Brooklyn put up more than 10 shot attempts and their leading scorer was Lin with 16.

So, basically, Philly completely mailed it in defense. They were 1 point favorites in Vegas going into the game.

If some people advise we do that, no wonder they aren't sickened by how we play right now.

A race to the bottom isn't the race you want to win. At best, because the incentives of the NBA draft are stupid (trying to create equality by rewarding failure in competition isn't very Darwinian) it is a sad consolation to get a high pick because you threw games, and self-respect out of the window.

THAT is what we need in Detroit.

Damn SVG for not getting us Westbrook or some other MVP type player with our mid-late first round picks!

Cavs survive first game.....Paul George took too much time outside the arc trying to set up winning jumper and the Cavs were able to set up the double team... 109-108 Cavs....

Yep, it appears that is what happen...DJ appeared that he only prepared for Gobert, and when he went down it seemed like he eased up. Though he finished with 15 boards, there were only 3 on the offensive end where he needed to corral all of those misses by JJ and the Crawford.

Me and Mrs Dre were there last night, and when Gobert went down....yes we felt sorry for him, as it appeared the basketball gods were trying to gift the Clips a 5 game series. ....But the Clips didn't take advantage of the situation and before the the end of the first quarter, the Jazz had figured that they didn't need Gobert.

When JJ Redick and Crawford each score less than 10 points, the Clips chances of winning drops. The Clipper FB game thread page was very critical of Blake's play in the 4th, but dude played 43 minutes including the last 19 of the game.

They lost was devastating in losing the home court advantage. The only worse thing is that I spent $115 for two tickets in the lower bowl only to find out Friday night that my son had two free tickets that were in the 100 section. Which means that I could have seen the Clippers lose up close and personal.. :)
