Spurs barely edge Cavs at home. But impressive frontcourt showing as Duncan & Leonard combine for 54pts, 25 rebs, 8 assists, 2 steals and 7 blocks.

Memphis loses two in a row to the Nuggets and the Jazz. The Grizzlies had won 14 out of 15.

The Nuggets are on a roll winning 11 in row, and I am thinking that when it is all said and done, they get the three seed in the west ahead of both Clippers and Grizzlies.

Heat continues the streak in Boston (23) as Lebron goes Lebron in the 4th.

I told Mrs. Dre that if the Heat were within 3 with less than 30 seconds left they would win and sho nuff they did.....Green had 43 points for the C's but he failed to score in the last 8 mins when that extra oompf from him would have helped.

Now it's up to the Cavs or Pistons to try to stop them from getting to 24 or 25...

In other games, the Jazz blew an opportunity to move back into 8th spot losing to a short handed Knick team in Utah where they had the 7th best home record.

The Lakers were brought back down to earth after being blown out by the Suns 99-76....after trailing at the half by only 3. They were 2-0 without Kobe, and since their next game is not until Friday, he will probably be ready by then.

I took a 15 minute break from Collegiate March Madness to watch some Pro March Madness....and just as the team with the longest winning streak in the league was able to comeback from 27 and steal a victory last night in Cleveland, the team with the second longest streak> Denver Nuggets>, stole from the visiting Sixers.

Yep Doug Collins team was feeling good about themselves leading nearly the entire 4th quarter and stretching it out to a 98-90 lead with just under 2 mins left in the game. This is the Sixers folks...the team that was blown out by the Clippers last night by 20 and the losers of 16 straight road games.

The Nuggets closed the game on an 11-2 run and won 101-100. In fact the Sixers still led by five 100-95 with 14 seconds left, but Corey Brewer hit a three with 9 seconds left to bring them closer to the steal. The Sixers Evan Turner was fouled with 7 seconds left and only needed to hit one FT to make it two possession game. You guess it.the 75% FT shooter missed both of them and on the next Nuggets possession, former Piston scrub Damien Wilkens fouled Brewer attempting 3 point shot and the 67% FT shooter calmly drained all three attempts to put the Nuggets ahead for good as the Sixers could not get off a decent shot at the other end to win it.

Yep it was March Madness at the Pepsi Center ala the same situation that happen last night with the Cavs-Heat and earlier today when Gonzaga, Marquette and Memphis both staved off upset bids by potential bracket busters Southern, Davidson and St. Mary's.

Grizz sneak out a 1 point OT win against the Thunder. Pretty amazing D to hold OKC under 90 with an overtime.

What was the difference maker in this one? Austin Daye. He was +6 in 7 seconds of playing time.

I saw that game last night. Daye was put out there as coach Hollins needed all of his three point shooters on the floor in the last 10 seconds of regulation and he was subbing out Daye for Zebo. Bayless however hit a three pointer to send the game in OT, that is where Daye picked up 3 of his +

The nuggets might be the deepest team in the NBA.
Karl should be in the COTY conversation. ...maybe not THE Coach of the Year but he should be in the conversation at least.

Since you reside there, do you find yourself rooting for two teams....your struggling Pistons and your possible contender Nuggets?

Yes, Since Melo, Kenyon Martin and JR Smith left, I now have some mild rooting interest in the Nuggs (a distant 2nd to the Pistons. ...very distant).
They're an easy team to root for. They play an entertaining style and have a "superstarless" model that is kinda similar to Pistons teams.
Faried is worth the price of admission alone and Corey Brewer is becoming one of my favorite NBA players. Brewer hustles so much that it's hillarious to watch. He'll close-out on a 3 point shooter at the top of the circle and somehow be fighting under the hoop for the rebound on the same play. It's like he's constantly in 2 places at once!

If your Clippers are "Lob City", these Denver dudes are "dive-on-the-floor City".

But it looks like the Nuggets streak has put them in a position to grab the third seed in the west and now only 2.5 out of the 2nd. The Clipps have struggled with injuries and lack of defense and could find themselves just trying to hold on to the 4th because they will be the division winner.

Even so, it could be one and done for them in the post season and if that happens...it could be the end of the CP3 era in Lob City.

Do you think that Paul will honestly leave the Clipps?
He seems to like it there (at least that the view from outside). His "celebrity" seems to have grown a lot just from being in that market.

Sounds like he successfully stretched the floor! +6 in 7 seconds... Reggie Miller-esque, but chillin on the weakside.

Paul may have to exercise his clout and get Vinny out of there if they fail in the first round. His team has the talent, but he is not using them properly. The Clipper forum is very critical of VDN even when they were the midst of the 17 game win streak, which seems as long ago as the Pistons championship.....

The Clippers have an awesome team make-up. Their bench absolutely slices apart opponents.

I think keeping Bledsoe should be very high on their list. Clips won't lose to anyone in the first round, take that to the bank. Their worst match up is going to be the grinder teams like Memphis.

I have Memphis dark horse in the WCF.

The Clips are 1-3 vs the Warriors a possible first round match up if they secure the third spot . But they have had trouble defending the Arc so if Curry, Thompson and Jack are on...then the Clips are in trouble...so the only good thing going for them is that Bledsoe, Billups , Turiaf and Barnes should be healthy by then and they have the home court advantage.
