Man does Stuckey get burned on this board. Ive been upset with his play at times but really? he was tryin to make something happen, I dont blame him for attackin the rim and tryin to draw a foul, Heck I wish more of our team would do that once in a while. Okla just has some shot blockers and he found 2 of them on that particular try. At least he is aggressive and lookin to score, far too often we dont have anyone apparently tryin to score. We have a group of people that ressemble a basketball team that stand around on the perimeter and pass the ball to one another until there is 5 seconds or less on the clock, at which time they usually call for a high pick and roll with Ben Wallace and the pg gives him the ball 20 feet from the hoop with 2-3 seconds on the clock. So forgive me if I am not really pissed at Stuck for driving to the hole with time on the clock and lookin to finish or get a call. We have no movement on offense and our perimeter guys can be guarded with a pylon . If they just stand around dribbling and passing on the periemeter what exactly do you expect our pgs to do?what magical play is gonna get them open? and when our guards drive to the hole the perimeter players need to get to a open spot and expect the ball, or get in the lane and expect the rebound....or get back and expect the opponent to break on them. Unfortunately our perimeter guys dont do any of those things and we either get a guard forcing a shot in the paint, a guard driving and forcing a pass into coverage due to our lack of movement, or ball stripped / stolen/ blocked/ shot missed and the opponent is running it down our out of position throat.

I was watching the OKC-DET game from the Oklahoma feed online. When they interviewed Dequan Cook at the end of the game he basically said "these are the type of games we can't lose, no disrespect to the other team but these are the types of games we can't lose. "I know I am paraphrasing but that is just a nice way of saying this team sucks and any elite team playing us should mark it on their schedule as a W. That pretty much sums up our current state in terms of where we stand against the elite teams.

Do you really need Daequan Cook to said that to realize that our current team (and our past 2 seasons) sucks?

Man this must've been brutal. Glad I didn't see it.

The only good thing is that we're not the team that's been the most embarrassed tonight as the Celtics held Magic to just 56 points. The Magic was able to score 10 apiece in the 3rd and the 4th. Howard's good as gone.

Wow, really? Wasn't expecting that. Dwight's probably done in Orlando regardless, but that will definitely push him out the door faster.

Hey SJ. No I don't but it really hits home to hear someone else on the opposing team say it.

I just can't watch Brandon Knight try and run the point. Call me when this so called "work in progress" progresses....................to another team.

I tuned in with about 5 mins left in the first quarter and the Pistons were already down 24-10...and I said uh-oh...the Pistons scored 2 points the rest of the quarter and all I could think as I watched the screen that this game appeared to the best or second best team in the league beating down the second worst team in the league or the Washington Wizards Generals.

As I continued to watch the second qtr, it appeared that at one point, James Mohawk/Beard Harden had almost as many points as the Pistons as he had 18 and they at the time had 23....(the score was 54-23 after his 3rd three of the game).

I am in Las Vegas and was watching it at the LVH Sportsbook and luckily we weren't only team being embarrassed as Philly was up on the Wizards by 25 mid 4th qtr and the Bulls at the time had 17 pt lead on the Nets. I left at half time to join some colleagues in the convention area, and the Pistons were down 27 and the Celtics were only up 10 on the Magic.....

I watched some of the Piston game in the 4th qtr from my cell phone, but the struggle continued and it wasn't until the Thunder scrubs mailed it in down the stretch that the Pistons were able to get down to Nemo's 18 point predicted loss. The good....our scrubs were able to hold this team under 100......the bad we shot only 34% and was out rebounded by 12. We outscored them by nine on the FT line, but still lost by 20? Before tonight's game, the Pistons and Hornets were the only teams in the NBA who had not scored 100 pts this season. Cross Hornets off that list as they scored 102 pts in their 2 pt loss to the Spurs....and the 79 pts the Pistons scored tonight was just shy of their last in the league 85 PPG average

Wade likes beating the Pistons so he will probably dress on Wednesday, but since the Heat are 6-0 when he sits, maybe we got a shot.? if he plays......not

This is the perfect example of Talent vs. Lack-of-Talent. Even if effort and coaching had equal impact on both sides, the Pistons would get slaughtered by this team.

Knight seems to look decent once the Pistons dig a big hole, and he starts really pushing the pace. He's just a train-wreck in the half-court though. He's almost 100% a spot-up 3 point shooter in half-court situations. Very little in terms of moving the D and finding teammates, or getting into the lane. Seems like maybe his first step is not that great, but he's fast when he gets a head of steam.

Regarding Monroe- It could be a coincidence, but he's had basically 4 games in a row now that were sub-par. It also happened to be Big Ben's 4th game as a starter. Coincidence? Maybe, but I think there's something to it. He's seeing a lot more defenders on his drives to the rim now than he was next to Jerebko, who could keep the D honest. Given that Ben hasn't seemed to improve the D, it may be time for a change.

Yeah and at least Stuckey can throw the ball at the hoop backboard. Everyone else either gets stripped or throws a stupid pass that results in a turnover.

Stuckey is working well with Knight and has been nothing but positive. I was wary of the whole thing because of last year but that seems to be a thing of the past.

    Gotta comment here.

    1. Even Kobe gets critized when he has no assists in a game.
    2. "nothing but positive" yet has a -16 against the Thunder.
    3. Since when is throwing up any shot a positive in basketball..

-16 against the thunder was probably the best of any player not playing in garbage time ( last 5 min) since whole game could be classified as garbage time.

Oh man, this time it's from the man himself!

Watching Rodney for about the 19 minutes I was able to pay attention to the game, I noticed the same things I've noticed over his last 3 rookie seasons: Very little court awareness, very little passing, very little finishing at the rim.
It's cool to have a guard who relentlessly drives the lane... unless he gets blocked or forces turnovers doing it.

There was a great fastbreak in the game against the Thunder where Rod got loose and was driving toward two defenders... Knight ran back with him and was ready for the pass. The Thunder left Knight alone to doubleteam Stuckey. Right decision, because he never looked to pass. He ended up making the layup, and getting his numbers, but it was still a poor play.

How many games before Brandon stops running with him on the break?

there is 2 sides to that coin, I counted 3 times stuckey took it to the hole last night and dished to tay and max and they both fumbled the ball outta bounds. I can see why he would try to finish it himself, at least he can get a shot up in traffic. Everyone else seems scared as soon as they are in traffic to even have the ball in their hands.

I never liked the excuse that it's ok for a PG to give up on getting his team going because he's surrounded by poor talent.
