Joe wouldn't view him as a threat to his job?
As long as Lindsey Hunter is being considered... Joe needs to rig-up this dude's agent and set up an interview. (showing BoT a proper defensive stance for the first time in his life) There isn't anyone who has been mentioned that I'm truly excited about other than BILL LAIMBEER. I "could live" with coach Nate but do you really want a guy you "can live with" to be coaching your favorite team?
Look, I've made it clear that I think Herb Brown is the man for the job. Whether we can lure Herb out of retirement remains to be seen. In other words, I want an experienced coach. I think Lindsey Hunter is getting a courtesy interview. Too young and inexperienced.
You meant AL Pacino willd be the next, didn't you ?
Winners don't make excuses.
Nate & Lindsey the only ones?
Doesn't get much better than that...
So Nate McMillan will be our next coach then. No way JD goes with Hunter (buddy and inexperienced) due to his Curry fiasco.
Never underestimate the incompetence of Joe Dumars.
Perhaps another take. Never underestimate the ambiance of close association (economic, social, cultural, etc.). Gores is by-product. Forget origin. A coach may not be quickly chosen, since there might be other associations. Gores is not Gilbert and notice the latter's last association. In a higher association world, you bring along your made reality. You have to out-do your hired help (players-shareholders) and the only way to forcefully express this role playing is with wholesale agenda setting. Machiavelli would call it a clean cut.
So is Nate stalling, or are the Pistons?
This man is a champion.
Potential Pistons coach Nate McMillan brought old school discipline to Portland - Detroit Bad Boys
Routine and discipline are good. Maybe that's why he always ensured his players were at home with their families come May.
Nate will be offered more coaching gigs after the playoffs... He's waiting for a better offer....coaches here only last an average of 562 days..........
