Well, the new rules for the inactive list or out. Lots of advantages because it allows for players not to be buried on the inactive list for weeks and months. The new rule allows players to be rotated back and forth from the list and can be used based on opponents lineups. I believe you have to be very careful with applying the rotating inactive list concept, some players may misconstrue this as punishment if not applied correctly. I like the new rule simply because players can be taken off the list 24 hours before tip-off and no maximum time they have to stay on the list. The Pistons major problem will be who will go on the list. Based on training camp notes, everyone is playing very well.
I like the new rules too. The old way was a joke because everyone just manipulated their way around it. It took them long enough to change it!
