    Scouting Report

As always....injured stars always seem to comeback to play when the Pistons show up on their next game on the schedule or we bruise them enough where sit out the next game after abusing the Pistons. Case in point Lebron sits out the next game after Cavs beat the Pistons last week.

    From the Yahoo Fantasy wire:
Anthony Davis (shoulder) has been upgraded to questionable for Wednesday's game vs. the Pistons.

Advice: Davis was able to go through contact drills during Tuesday's practice, so it's looking like there's a decent chance he's able to return to action on Wednesday. However, if he's unable to go on Wednesday, his next opportunity to play will come Friday vs. Boston, and then Saturday vs. Memphis

Davis has sat out the last 5 Pelican games where they gone 4-1... averaging about 100 pts a game. In addition to Davis being out the Pelicans other main big Ryan Anderson has also been out with an injury. The Pelican back up bigs Omer Asik and Alexis Ajinca have stepped up and will be a force for our young front line....and oh by the way they also have Dante Cunningham and Quincy Pondexter starting along with Asik if Davis isn't ready to go yet....so either way it will be a tough game for the Pistons if their bigs out hustle ours like they did in the first meeting when Drummond was limited to 2 pts and 2 boards.

On paper, this looks like a bad matchup.

This game will tell a lot. First of a tough road trip, coming off two horrible losses, but with several days to practice in between, and a playoff spot still kind of on the line. Time to figure out who wants to play and who's just living the life.

Nice start for the Pistons 24-17 at the end of one. We were once up 22-10 with the starters.

    The second unit looks shakey

Pistons lead 46-42 after allowing a 15-2 run to allow the Pelicans to get back in the game. Other than Jodie Meeks, the second unit of Tolliver, Butler and even Spence looked bad and we needed a couple of the starters to come back in with Jodie to prevent the Pelicans from extending the lead. So far it is an exciting game. The defense looked great, but we still missed a bunch of bunnies so our points off turnovers isn't as great as should be. But alas they had 17 assists already.

As predicted, Anthony Davis comes back to play after a 5 and half game layoff and scores 19 pts, 7 boards and blocks 4 ....in 19 minutes of play. Couldn't he have sat out one more game................Dre and Moose have 10 pts and 19 boards in the half..............

Monroe's ball handling is atrocious. We need to play smarter.

I've seen enough to say: for this team I prefer Jennings to Jackson.

Monroe seems to be intimidated by Davis and Asik....he can't use those post moves vs those two without getting blocked or committing a TO. He needs to give it up to the open man....if there is one not standing around doing nothing.....

Reggie has left a lot of points on the board trying to make flashy plays. He could learn a lot from watching video of classic Joe Dumars. Boring finishes, 2 points every time.

SVG before the game (tongue in cheek): "Anthony Davis should not be playing today. If I was the coach, I would rest him for at least one more game...just to be safe."

Moose is killing us....trying to go up against these guys....now would be the time to rely on the guards to shoot the short jumpers...

Yea, the one play he gets completely stuffed. So, instead of running back on defense, he pushes Davis for a stupid foul. Not smart.

Why do we even feed the post to Monroe when he's being guarded by Davis? Davis has owned him for 3 years in that scenario.
