If we don't win this, consider a .150 season a foregone conclusion
I hope to see a lot of Jonas Jerebko at PF in this one.
We get a 4-18 team at home. No tanks.......still think we'll lose. We'll redefine ugliness with a loss here............... New Orleans by 5...........
It ain't a game unless Daye sits in SF for at least 25. Give Wallace 25 too to maximise that defensive rebounding ability.
Good call. Sign me up for 7 minutes of Maxiel or Wallace.
This game's gonna be as messy as Buck Cheever's sport coat after the "Hooper incident". Pistons gotta find a way to lose this one. Prediction: Pistons will raise a glass of chardonnay after winning a close one 59 - 57. Emeka Okafor racks up 8 block shots in just 19 minutes of play.
Saturday can't come soon enough.
I predict that several people will be in attendance for this one. Everyone in the crowd will likely know each other by the end of the game.
That's the beauty of the current Pistons / Palace atmosphere. No one talks about our league-leading low fan-to-player ratio.
Where are we ranked in the league in fans per game per 48-minutes?
Well we haven't played a game yet so the stat would certainly be misleading.
That is a nonsensical stat because the fans don't stay for 48 minutes. The most a fan can endure before he leaves in complete exhaustion is 32 minutes max.
This is a must-loss. Lots of interesting notes about this game. Jarrett Jack missed the last game so we'll need him back. Luckily Greiviz 'bodily-harm' Vasquez has been playing well in his absence. They have also been benching Kaman due to trade-winds, but again rather fortuitously for us he will be back in action tonight. I'm predicting a big game from Carl Landry as he hopes to emulate other PF's who have had season-best games against the Pistons. DaJuan Summers has started the last 2 games at SG for the Hornets but only played 12 and 15 minutes in each game. The odds of him making us look stupid for letting him go are pretty small, but let's hope for one night he unleashes whatever bottled up motivation he has against the Pistons. Keep an eye out for Gustavo Ayon, the Mexican big man who provides energy off the bench in limited minutes. I'm already a small fan.
Jarrett Jack OUT again tonight for N.O.
2 of the leagues 4 worst teams got together and this one was closer than it should have been as BKnight went down in the first quarter with a broken nose delivered inadvertently by former Piston Dujuan Summers. The Pistons prevailed despite the loss of Knight as Walker D and Stuckey held it together down the stretch and max delivered a couple of monster dunks in the last 90 seconds to punctuate the win even though the Hornets closed out the game on a 7-2 run in the last 30 seconds, but the clock ran on them. Another strong game by Monroe, who I assume will be named to Rising Stars (Rookie/Sophmore All-star squad) later this month. Two game win streak and more importantly with the next game on Wednesday, the Pistons literaly will go a whole week without a loss......and even more importantly they should be able to squeeze in some practices next week.
Wait... so the guy we let go is now a starter and he broke the nose of our top draft pick... and we got a win? What else can go wrong? Monroe and Maxiell have just had 2 great games in a row. I'm glad Frank has abandoned Wallace as a starter. It wasn't working. Stuckey and Russell with a solid night at the guard spots. Low turnovers, some scoring.
Didn't catch the game as the folks were in town, but happy to see they got the win. Not half as much fun playing the ESPN draft machine though, took me like 7 tries to get the number 1 and Mr. Unibrow when I needed only 2 tries to get it before. Read about Frank saying Knight wanted to come back in the game even with the broken nose as well; tough kid.
I watched the highlight. Three injuries, a turnover, a dunk by a 6ft 10 dude and TP hitting a jumpshot with a football field of space. Wasn't exactly impressed. Happy we won though.
When I hope they'll win - they lose. When I hope they'll lose - they win. This team really sucks. Nice to see Monroe in action and Russell keeps showing he's the guy who's best at running an offense on this roster.
