Some of my favorite solo spinoffs - Malkmus - Black Francis (Pixies) - The Evens (frmly Fugazi member) - Thurston Moore (Sonic Youth) On the first two, I pretty much celebrate their entire catalogues.
So did David Hasselhoff with Jump In My Car. Speaking of Europe, I wonder if Okafur could average a double double if he played for Hemofarm? I just looked up The Darko's stats while he was over there, and was surprised at his numbers. Other than one time when he "exploded for 37 points" against Lituania, his numbers seem pretty average for an eventual number two pick. See for yourself:
I never knew that Glen Miller disappeared in a small plane crash over the English Channel and was never found. He's officially listed as MIA.
Those were stats for a 17 year old though, right? Pretty solid. Almost 20 pts, 10 rebs, and 3 blocks per 40. Tim Duncan like. Too bad Darko peaked when he was 15.

Just think how much more impressive his numbers would have been if his culture didn't prohibit him from running up the score on over-matched opponents. Also, hearing bombs going off while he was playing didn't help his stats any.
Its interesting to see that when a group is prohibited from flinging poo at something - to what lengths we go to crap all over something that we want to deride.
