Was frankly surprised Boston won without Rondo, but meh. Don't care either way. I care even less about NY, Miami was always going to beat them. Chicago without Rose is not a contender.
It was so disappointing when Rose went down. I was really looking forward to the Miami/Chic series. Now - what do we have in the East? Is Indy or ATL going to be able to do much against Miami? They pretty much have a clear path to the Finals now. Its more of a race for 2nd now in the East. IN the West - I am rooting for Dallas. Something about a bunch of old out-gunned vets trying to hang onto that Trophy. And you never know - Houston was the same way back in 1995 and they managed to win somehow.
Dallas may win this series, Dallas may lose this series, but they are tough. I think they will kill themselves trying to defend their title. I wouldn't count this one as over yet. Watching the C's hold it together through the years and resiliently come back from the dead really makes me regret the fact that the Pistons could not have kept LB as their coach as they aged. The C's have a great match between their coach and players.
Didn't care about that series much to begin with, but Rose going down was an absolute nightmare scenario, and not just for Bulls fans. I'm hoping Indy gives Miami a fight at least, provided they don't screw around with the Magic anymore. Boston may be a challenge as well, but ATL wouldn't stand a chance. Out West - Dallas moving on is unlikely, and stranger things have happened, but my money's on OKC. I like San Antonio moving on as well, but I'm thinking they'll be in for a bit of a fight against Utah, especially once it shifts to SLC.
Liked the bit last night when Pop wanted to take Parker out towards the end of the third... Pop - If you play the rest of the quarter you'll have 26 minutes Parker - Pop, I'm 29 years old, I can play some more.
This is the most boring playoffs in a long time. The Grizz-Clips and the Mavs-Thunder are the only two series that are mildly interesting. Spurs totally destroying the Jazz is cool, but it's such a lopsided series so far that there's no fun watching it.
Durant is hot again and its looking like a sweepshow in DAL-OKC MIA pisses on the ashes of NYK to go 3-0 at MSG I'm actually finding the BOS-ATL matchup interesting.
Yep....isn't that the same guy who named his cats Mr. Beans Rasheed and Porky Mommy? Dallas seems to be one player away from being competetive.
Within the past 4 years, we have seen two championship teams let their defensive stopper big man walk and then crumble (Celtics letting Perk go and Mavs letting Chandler go). I guess those guys are kinda valuable.
We don't employ the defensive big man stopper type......... JD prefers the small luggage thin man matador type......
You and Stack seem to be on the same wavelength: Jerry Stackhouse of the still-active Atlanta Hawks is going to ‘take Miami to win it all’ | Ball Don't Lie - Yahoo! Sports
The Nuggets Kenneth Faried is a young stud that Lee thought Amir Johnson would be. A real energy guy that paired with Javelle Magee, gave the Lakers fits tonight. of the course the hot shooting by Ty Lawson to open the game was enough that the Lakers could not overcome despite trimming 23 pt deficit down to 5 a couple of times before the Nuggets blew it open in the last 3 minutes. I remember reading about Faried in a SI article a couple of years ago and thought that he maybe somebody Joe ccould pair with Monroe...but alas, he was taken 22 by the Nuggets and worthy of the pick once he got to play. 12/18 tonight. MaGee was 15/16
