I wonder why the Spurs gave up on him... besides having a "stone hands" rep... they were pretty thin at center then lost Rasho.
He looked pretty good with the Knicks.

All I know is that Ramadan is over during the preseason. Oct 24th I believe. Bad year to give up Nazr as he won't have to fast during a month of the season.

And hopefully he won't start fasting on points and rebounds instead. We want a big fat Nazr in that regard...

Like I said back in July, he could be a blessing in disguise just as Ben was six years ago. No real expectations other than somebody in the middle. I would be statisfied with 10 and 8 on a nightly basis. Throw in two blocks and 3 assists and I can forget about Ben who?:noidea:

He avg 10.9/8.1 in 28.1 mins in his last year as a knick. So who knows?

His 1st full year as a Spur was 9.5/7.6 in 25.1 MPG

Maybe last year was just an off year for him.

I don't think he'll do that great. And its not because of his ability. I think our system is going to be detrimental to his production. Unless we can get some consistent penetration Nazr won't be as effective on the offensive glass. Its the difference between 10 and 8 and 7 and 6.

I had heard he was late on defensive rotations a lot, which didn't sit well with Pop. I think Pop lost faith.

    He also has stone hands.

    He's a mediocre player.

    Anything is possible.

In his favor, I believe that not much is expected from him. Close to a double double a game could net him alot of fans here in Detroit.

No doubt. Ben got us 12-12.5. If Nazr can gets us 10 and be an offensive threat we're not at much of a loss.

I want Nazr to do well, but Ben's.... AH FORGET IT.

I want Nazr to do well. The center position will not be a big producer this year. It's Sheed and Chauncey's team. One or both of them will have to go for 20 with Rip each night for us to win. That's the way I see it.

Nazr just has to pick up the trash and try not to get into foul trouble.
