Just saw the report that Drummond will sit out Tuesday. How about sit out some more--until the Pistons secure a top draft pick--until Andre is 3 times past ready. Why was Knight brought back the last game? Play the other rookies a bunch and let a franchise guy like Drummond completely heal. The Pistons need a top pick. Excluding Darko, wasn't Grant Hill the last Piston top 5 pick?? This is an historic opportunity for the franchise. Do they know it? A top pick to go along with Monroe and Drummond and things will be looking up. The Pistons can win the next ten years. Plenty of time to root for the team to win. Sounds like a deal.
Honestly, it's late enough in the season and Drummond's injury was disturbing enough that he should not be brought back. Just let it fully heal to secure his long term health.
Exactly. There is plenty of time for Drummond. Plenty of time for Knight. This is a gift opportunity for the organization. Play the other rookies...
What part of did everything in practice and "full throttle with contact" indicates Drummond hasn't fully healed (whoo!!)? If he's healthy he should play. It makes me nervous that Mike Abdenour is out though. Shouldn't Lawrence Frank be able to fill in for him? (Gores could become the Al Davis of the NBA if he made Frank works as trainer instead of firing him.) Pistons' Andre Drummond, Will Bynum won't play Tuesday, Lawrence Frank says | Detroit Free Press | freep.com
Both Knight and Drummond were deemed healthy enough to play after their injuries, only to be taken out again. I'm just saying that there is nothing to play for, so make sure you err on the side of full healing. OK, and I want to see us get a top 3 pick with a good chance of winning the lottery outright.
I see he is on medical leave for the rest of the season. No details were given in Detroit newspapers. Best wishes to a key man in the Pistons organization. From The Detroit News: http://www.detroitnews.com/article/20130325/SPORTS0102/303250408#ixzz2OfLKc47T
It's a business. Nobody wants to see Stuckey and Maxiell stink it up with BoT and rookies. People will want to see Drummond play. They'll play Drummond before the end of the season. At least for home games.
