This is going to be Kevin Love o'clock. I think it will be tight, but I can see the wolves beating us.
Love was out against the Pacers today. Not sure he'll be back in time for this game, but this will be the third night of a back to back to back for the Pistons, and if the Wolves are still riding that ugly losing streak, they'll be desperate to get a win here (unless they're hardcore tanking) so yeah, this might just be a loss.
The last time the Pistons had a back to back to back games, they lost all three games....one of four teams to accomplish that negative feat. Lets hope they are not the first to get triple swept twice. Which means if they win Tuesday or Wednesday we can delete this post...
If the Pistons manage to pull off losses against Cavs, Raps and Wolves we are right back in contention for 6th.
I can't seem to make myself root against our Pistons while I'm watching the games but I often find myself relieved when they lose. Time to 'play for the future' in the same manner that about half of the rest of the teams in the NBA are playing. IMO: the league needs to address the tanking issue. It seems excessive this year.
Now that the Wizards have tanked enough to secure the possible second pick, they are beating teams the night after we lose to them. Last week they be the Magic the next game after Orlando beat the Pistons by what was it 30?? And last night the Wiz beat the Bulls by three after the Pistons got robbed in the OT win Sunday.
Pistons will win this meaningless game. we always won this kind of games against Minnesota. Austin Daye will be leading scorer for Detroit with more than 20 points. Fact that will keep us talking about Daye being a potential starter for Detroit for a few weeks.. Let's hope none of this happen.
Same here. I can't say it's relief for me, more that I don't really get upset about it like I normally would. Feels like every lottery team is tanking. It's an end of season tank-off. On the game: still hate Will Bynum. Macklin may become a serviceable back up big; he needs work though.
The Timberwolves have lost like 27 straight consecutive games in April. Pistons will help undo that streak.
OMG! Coach didn't play Daye even a single minute.. I think.. I think I got his back! I support Frank!
The T-Wolves' 11 game losing streak is over, courtesy of the lethargic Pistons. The fourth quarter was the Will Bynum show. Brandon, Stuck and Greg had games that ranged from subpar to bad. JJ looked ok at least, and Vern looks like he's clawed his way to a roster spot next year. Was tuning in and out of this one; not half as fun to watch as the first game we played against the then-healthy Wolves. Daye's probably gone next year. I hope we at least get a bag of balls back for him. I hope other teams are watching CV; his trade value may be getting an uptick.
That's exactly how I feel. They mostly lose anyway oh yea the game. It was a back-back-back. Team looked like it. No hops on the jump shots, everyone was too tired to take the ball in.
I find myself getting angry if the Pistons win and angry if the Pistons lose. The Pistons have to get more athaletic. Their lack of athaleticism has shown up more than anything if their losses. They looked like the Golden Girls out there next to the Wolves 4th - 14th players. Will Bynum would be a perfect 3rd PG for an older team like the Celtics. He could play his Break Glass Only in Case of Emergency role for them on the nights they're looking old and down big like he does here, except it would help a team like that if they actually won. The Wolves got some talent, eh? They might really luck out if they get lucky with their lotto pick. This is kind of their Pistons pick Darko moment.
Hard to figure this one out...Austin Daye goes out the night before and hits a basket...and then he is rewarded with a DNP?
