Wolverines are goin nowhere in the polls...they're the Wolverines for Gosh sakes....
The officiating at the end was confusing and IMO rattled Akron into losing. The last pass play should have been reviewed to see if it was a 1st down

Darth says, I think the pollsters will do everything they can to keep Michigan as high as possible based on their name alone. Depends on what other teams do Michigan will drop 2-3 spots. I will guess 2 spots.
I looked at the teams in the 12-18 spots and at most the 2 teams from Oklahoma could move ahead of the Wolverines. UCLA will make a move, but not that big of a jump. So maybe two spot drop..like you said.
The Wolverines now need the Zips to run the table the rest of the season to take the sting off this almost embarrassing loss. But of course they too need to bounce back with a convincing road win vs UConn next week before jumping into conference play.
If you ignore the quality of the opponent (3 W's in the last 3 years), that was a pretty good game. The pass interference call on UM's final possession was pretty weak IMO, so it's obviously a fortunate win in many ways.
Bowdon has only coached 1 season, so maybe they are sneaky good and on the rise? I'll tell myself that for a while until Mich racks up 3-4 losses.
UM's November schedule is a killer:
at Michigan State
home vs. Nebraska
home vs. Ohio State
I see a few losses there.
Only loss I see there is Northwestern............they're gonna surprise the Big Ten
They won't surprise Ohio State the way Akron surprised them. Pretty good coach down south there. If OSU comes into the Big House undefeated, I don't see UM staying with them.
OSU should have a couple of losses by then...I'd rather they show up undefeated.

So of course it ends up being -4
We fell from 10th to 14th
Texas A&M fell to 10th after a loss to Alabama.
A solid 3-4 touchdown victory by UM may have given us 10th...
Oh well...at least...no losses.
These polls don't make much sense, do they? How can A&M fall when they lost to a team that was ranked five places ahead of them? Even if it was a home game.
It's all in a name. If Alabama had lost by 1 TD...I believe they'd have been ranked no lower than 3rd.
2013 NCAA College Football Polls and Rankings for Week 4 - ESPN
As expected the two Oklahoma teams moved a head of the Wolverines...I wasn't sure about UCLA, but yep they did it too.
The Texas A & M defense was exposed. There will probably be a lot of shoot outs with Johnny Football and the Aggies
Michigan winning this game reminded me of 'Revenge of the Nerds' when Ogre barely beat that big girl in arm wrestling!!!!!!! Lmao!
Looks like Dre and Drath called this one...
Michigan fell to No. 15 in the AP poll, down from No. 11. The coaches have the Wolverines 14th, down from 12th.
Michigan State remains just outside the AP Top 25, but did move into the coaches poll, at 24th, after the offense finally came alive, against Youngstown State.
I'd rank Michigan just ahead of Akron in the polls... or maybe just behind them since it took a goal line stand to beat them on our home field.
Notre Dame should be right behind Akron.
Gardner is performing horribly as a passer in the first half vs. Mighty UConn. No confidence whatsoever. He throws high, throws low, throws off his back foot. He is making Shoelace look like Tom Brady.
Would you like Connor Cook or Andrew Maxwel? It could be worse. At least your team crushed Notre Dame.
