OSU coach scouted the UM team extensively. He knew that Michigan would call only 2 different plays in that situation.
His defense was ready for the play before it happened. That's how you intercept a 2 yard pass play.

So, this is an example of Hoke getting outcoached, I suppose. Clearly, this was the difference. Something had to make up for that horrible OSU pass defense.

Any goal line play like that one has multiple reads and options for the quarterback. I have no idea who the UM QB was passing to on that play.

Dilio was the intended receiver but OSU had him bracketed.
Gardiner threw into unacceptable coverage. He is to blame.

Love the call. Would have called a play with a running option though with some improv possibilities to make it less stoppable by a guess. Underdog had to like one play for the win at the end. The longer the format, the worse the odds.

The play should have gone back to Fuchness in this situation maybe throwing to the pass to the right edge of the end zone. They had three receivers lined up in tandem and he still threw it to the guy who was closest to being doubled covered and you see what happen. ......but its a bang-bang play...had he run and got stopped in the backfield or fell jut short of the goal line...then everyone would have questioned why he didn't he throw it...that would have or may have won it....

It appears Michigan played poorly again. They need a major overhaul and or perhaps Brady isn't going to work, out which would be unfortunate.

Another loss for the Big Ten which is now 0-2. It would be 0-4 if you count the Maryland and Rutgers losses. It already looks like our teams are in a weak conference.

Defense couldn't do much of anything in the first half. I didn't watch the second half because I knew it was over. Freshmen QBs can't seal the deal in the red zone typically. I noticed that the team only had 65 yards on the ground. This team has rushed the ball poorly this season. This is very uncharacteristic of UM teams. I don't think it is the new normal. Still, I'll still take Brady over RichRod any day.

The M offensive line was deplorable.....the QB and RB's never had a chance against the Spartans or the Corn Huskers.

Nobody's offense did well against the Spartans . At any rate he took the fall like Juan Castillo did with the eagles. He sucked but so did everyone else last year
