Incredible sequence on the final drive of regulation. I've never really seen one that close. I have zero expectation that they were going to be able to snap for the FG before the clock ran out.

It's rare that I criticize a go-for-it on 4th down, but with Michigan down 6-9 and having a 4th and 2, it was a really bad call IMO. Glad it worked out and we actually posted another W. I was worried that we were going to lose out the season.

Northwestern lost because they chose to wear horrid looking uniforms.

Dre that was a crazy year. I scratched my head until it bled. The crazy thing is cost the Big Ten a big bowl winfall ! It's because of that ruse we now have multiple teams going to bowls.
    I can't remember why M couldn't due a different smaller bowl ?
They could've done a smaller Florida bowl because they're 100,000 retired ilum down there.

I am not sure if its the secondary, the offensive line, the play calling or what, but the Hokee Wolverines look about as bad as the richrod wolves of 4 years ago....OK well not that bad.

Devin Gardner is a decent QB, but he spent more time running lateral this season than forward. Today when it appears that he has the team moving down the field for a TD or game tying FG, he fumbles right outside the red zone and it was game set for the Hawkeyes who after being down 21-7 at the half, outscored the Wolverines 17-0 in the second half. Wait didn't that happen in the Lions game last week?

With the impending loss to the Buckeyes next week, UM will finish at 7-5 and 3-5 in the BIG.

    Yuck.

7-5 is good enough for a small bowl. Not what the greedy Big10-12 wanted but they will send 4-6 teams after the bowl payouts and the conference will thrive.
Hoke is probably safe for 2 more years.

Right now the Big 1o is in line to send 6-7 teams. Michigan despite today's loss and the future loss to the OSU, looks to going to Florida again for the Gator Bowl. Hopefully some of those Florida high schoolers decide sign with M down the line.

I'd rather have is friend anyways. He's only a cornerback.

Great game today in Ann Arbor....the two pt conversion attempt would only be good if it had been successful. I am all in favor of gutsy calls, but I would have gone for the PAT even if the regular kicker was out. Then again if the kicker had not kicked it out of bounds, maybe the Buckeyes only get 3 pts....and possibly run enough time off the clock to prevent M from scoring again.

Anyway, what was thought to be a 42-10 OSU win turned out to be as close as those 80-90's 12-10 games with the final score 42-41.

Great game for Gardner, but an even better one on the ground for Miller.

I supported the call from Hoke. No way UM wins this game in OT. If it is possible for a 12-0 team to get exposed, it happened today. Nice pass defense, OSU.

I hope that the conference comes down heavily on the OSU player who left the game (after being ejected) while giving the double bird to the Big House crowd.

On the field, Michigan's lack of consistency this season has been staggering. They take the No. 3 team in the country to the limit and can't beat Nebraska at home or Penn State on the road. November was disastrous for M, with four losses in five games. Can't believe I miss Lloyd Carr, but I think he would have righted the ship. I still like Hoke though.

I agree. Going for 2 was the right play. Michigan could not stop Ohio State's offense. The Buckeyes may have went the distance in regulation to win it.

Prior to biggest play of the year....Auburn was faced with a similar scenario with I believe the same time on the clock. 32 seconds....I don't think there was any contemplating a 2 pt attempt then as the Tigers figured they would take their chances and try to outlast the #1 team Alabama.

I am not sure if Bama pushed the officials to review the out of bounds play or not, but the decision to try to win on regulation on a long FG backfired into the probable ESPY winner for best play. Loved the Auburn Tiger announcers call on the winning TD as well as the CBS announcers who said that the Tide could not stop the runner as they had 'too many fat men on the field'.

BCS in a bit of turmoil next week if and when the Spartans knock of OSU next week.... It's Florida State vs TBD in the BCS championship game.

I should rephrase. I supported Hoke's decision. The play call was horrible.

Dre, I'm a Mizzou grad so here is the scenario I am hoping for: Mizzou beats Auburn and Sparty beats OSU to put Missouri in the title game against Florida State (assuming they beat Duke).

    Long shot, I know.
