Next. Big game. Heat have been playing well lately. They are a tough matchup for us.

They have lost 2 of their last three....to the Lakers and Trailblazers. They beat the Kings Friday night but they played without Wade and the Kings played without Cousins.

Wade didn't play tonight either as he had a sore neck ...hopefully he will need to rest it on Tuesday.

I heard rumors that SVG may look to rest guys like Dinwiddie and Joel Anthony as the playoffs approach.

Wade is a game-time decision. Haven't heard anything yet if he is a go for tonight.

Pistons down 18 at the half. Bench once again showed their ugly play....are being outscored 23-7.
Dre and Harris have 22 of the Pistons 36 points...as they are 10-17. the rest of the starters are 2-21 with RJ going 2-11 and Mo and KCP 0-10.

Somebody else has to find the bottom of the bucket or we are sole owners of the 8th spot by night fall.

Heat + stronger pistons but since the match was very important was hoping for a more combative team...morris and KCP unbeliveble tonigh

Bench let this one get away at the end of the 1st quarter just about the time Johnson and Blake entered the game. It was downhill from there and the start the second quarter when KCP continued to brick and a 2 point Heat grew to an 18 point lead at the half.

Although Reggie had a big third quarter, the Pistons still lost the quarter by 28-27. The Pistons never got any closer than 14 the rest of the game.

Can't blame it all on the bench though....Morris left his game at the palace and was 0-7, 1 point and 6 turnovers. KCP suffering through a 10 day slump was another miserable 1-6 with 2 points and Stanley was a 1-9 and 2 pts. That's five points from 3 of your top 7 scorers. Hilliard outscored them all with 8 points as he canned two from deep in garbage time. He needs to get some time over either Tolly or Johnson...IMO

Why he has been benched is the big question?? The guy can score if needed, but continues to ride the pine while the bench struggles to find the hoop.

The only positive incident of the night was that the Grizzlies broke their six game losing streak and spanked the Bulls by 16....to keep them 2 back of Pistons. Our magic # is now 2, which means any combo of a Piston win and a Bulls loss means the Pistons are in the post season. 4 games left, just win two of them or watch the Bulls lose two of their last 4. Lets just win the last 4 and go into the post season on a winning note.

I will dig up highlights later. I stopped watching midway through the 4th. Poor effort. I look forward to all of the recaps distributing blame to the coach, Steve Blake, Aron Baynes, and Hooper.

I didn't see Hooper, but if he had just traveled with the team, we probably would have won this one.

My point was that the blame game is completely irrational. Guys who played well get blamed, guys who played terrible get free passes, and no matter what, win or loss, SVG is always to blame for something, aesthetic if not tactical.
