vs Memphis Grizzlies Tuesday Feb 19 2013 - 7:30 PM EST Palace of Auburn Hills, Detroit, MI TV: FS Detroit Plus RADIO: 97.1FM GO PISTONS!
I look forward to watching this one as it will likely be similar in pace to pre-trade Piston games. I always appreciated the opportunity to run some errands and tackle my to-do list during Tayshaun Prince back-downs. I once picked up my drycleaning and made it back in time to see Tay kick it out to Damien Wilkins as the shot clock expired.
I just had a nightmare last night. I had missed watching this game, so I was checking the box score afterwards. It was the most lopsided defeat in NBA history. Prince had a terrible game, and Daye had an average game, but their bench had torched us. Then I look at the quarter-by-quarter scores and they scored 90 points in the 1st quarter! *shudder* They say dreams are always opposite of reality. I hope that means we will tear up the Grizz despite Prince having a great game.
If you look closely at the blurred background of this photo, you'l notice that everyone in the crowd has fallen asleep during this Tayshaun Prince backdown play.
Actually, Tay's defender has fallen asleep, as well. He is using Tay's shoulder as a prop to keep himself from falling over.
I've never heard that dreams are the opposite of reality. This is a team the Grizz can beat. 99-89 Tay-Daye 30 pt, 2 rebounds, 4 assist, 2 steals
Who dares to predict OVER/UNDERS for tonight's game? Memphis margin of victory: 2.5 points Prince: 10.5 points Daye: 6.5 points Taysolations: 2.5 Daye following a Piston shooting a 3-pointer: 0.5 Prince moving out of the way to avoid a dunk: 0.5
over over over under not allowed by Grizz what with another 3 ??? over * Tay-Daye scoring a Piston goal >0.5
Memphis margin of victory: 2.5 points - Over Prince: 10.5 points - Over Daye: 6.5 points - Under Taysolations: 2.5 - Over (With a vengance!) Daye following a Piston shooting a 3-pointer: 0.5 - (Not sure what this means) Prince moving out of the way to avoid a dunk: 0.5 - Under. The Pistons don't really have anyone who can dunk.
That was supposed to say "fouling" not "following". Daye was notorious for fouling people when they were shooting a three-pointer.
Memphis margin of victory: 2.5 points - OVER Prince: 10.5 points - SLIGHTLY OVER Daye: 6.5 points - PUSH (he'll finish with 6.5) Taysolations: 2.5 - WAY OVER Daye following fouling a Piston shooting a 3-pointer: 0.5 - OVER Prince moving out of the way to avoid a dunk: 0.5 - UNDER (With Dre hurt, who's gonna dunk?)
Memphis margin of victory: 2.5 points - OVER Prince: 10.5 points - OVER Daye: 6.5 points - UNDER Taysolations: 2.5 - OVER Daye following fouling a Piston shooting a 3-pointer: 0.5 - OVER Prince moving out of the way to avoid a dunk: 0.5 - UNDER
Memphis margin of victory: UNDER. They can't beat us without Rudy Gay. Prince: 10.5 points- that's a tough one. I'll say OVER, just because he likes to have grudges (hence his jersey number with us). Daye: 6.5 points- another tough one. it will be determined by his playing time. He'll be guarded by Singler or Stuckey. I'll say UNDER. Taysolations: this is going to be a tough one to determine since there is some opinion involved. I'd define it as a clear out play where MEM decides that they like the matchup and he goes one on one. UNDER. There is no way that Daye fouls a 3-point shooter tonight. Under for sure. Prince moving out of the way: UNDER for sure. Another tough one to determine though. I like this game. It will make it slightly more interesting to watch.
