I take it all back. I'm pumped! TMac was a good gamble by Joe. If it doesn't work out, oh well, only 1 year. He seems like a mature guy who has been humbled. 31 isn't that old if the injury really has healed.
Stuckey/ Bynum Hamilton/ Gordon/ White Prince/ McGrady/ Daye/ Summers Jerebko/ Maxiell/ Charlie V Wallace/ Monroe/ Kwame/ Wilcox We have too many dudes don't we? Have Summers and White signed yet? Maybe we'll be trading n to get back n-1.
I don't like him wearing that number, at all! But at least we have another sleepy eyed dude wearing it! Anyway, these are huge "what if's", but what if the knee is fine now? What if he can be the old T-mac for us? What if he bounces back so well that we HAS to start? Who cares 'bout some rookie, err, second year player getting their minutes cut if SleepyMac can resurrect his career?
What if TMac resurrects his career and has a great season? Does Joe sign him or Stuckey next summer? Does he just let Prince walk so he can sign both TMac and Stuckey? Hmmm....
If T-Mac is healthy, he will play. Whether that is fair or not, good or not, long term or short term, doesn't matter. He will play. I do not think Joe brought him in to ride the pine. I think folks forget the important roles vets played during our championship run up. Uncle Cliffy and Big Nasty in particular.
I have absolutely no expectations for Tracy McGrady. Anything that he can give us (production, trade value) will be a total bonus in my book. I just hope that Q has the testicular fortitude to pull the plug if T-Mac stinks up the joint.
I'm kinda hoping that Greg Monroe is it. It would also be pretty cool to see T-White come outta nowhere and be really really good.
