I think if Joe and Gores had hired Phil Jackson, Larry Brown, and the ghost of Red Auerbach, the current Pistons team, with a little luck, may have been able to get swept in the second round of the playoffs next year. I'm not real excited by Mo Cheeks, but I'm not really disappointed either. This team has some talent in the post with Drummond and Monroe, and it has some potential at the guard and small forward with Knight, Singler and Middleton. But our talent lacks experience, our bench lacks depth, and our vets lack leadership skills. This team has a way to go, but while we wait, maybe Mo can teach Knight to feed the post, help Stuckey to keep his head up, and turn Bynum into a threat to steal the ball.
