Detroit Pistons Name Maurice Cheeks Head Coach | THE OFFICIAL SITE OF THE DETROIT PISTONS
Me no likey
Can he go Cheek to Cheeks with our roster?
As I said before, I expect to draft Michael Carter-Williams ... That's the only possible scenario where I can see this signing being, somehow, productive.
I wonder if they even bothered to reach out to Karl
Did anyone else notice the irony? 3 of the last 4 Piston coaches are now Mo, Larry, and Curry...
Gonna go into this with an open mind. Who knows what Mo has up his sleeve with regards to player development. Let's let the results be the judge of this hire before we crucify him.
I'm gonna take and wait and see approach with this one. I like him as far as developing the guards go, but let's not neglect Drummond and Monroe either because they are the core of the team. Hopefully, he brings in an assistant coach that has a history of developing bigs.
Whats the forum consensus: Is Cheeks > Frank, Cheeks >> Frank. Or Cheeks < Franks
Flipped me out. Kue up the new Palace intro video this fall...
Initially, this seems like a lateral move. The success of Cheeks will ultimately depend on the hand he is dealt by Joe Dumars and Co.
Fresh off the scrap heap. Owners change, but the coaches price remains the same. The Pistons are like a fat chick searching for a date. Only the desperate need apply.
I can't wait to see the list of losers they get to assist this guy.
Joe did it again! Welcome to Mo Town.
What would the team have to have done to make less of a splash than this?
I hope Gores doesn't get fined for taking away from the NBA Finals.
We can only hope that it was he and not Scott Brooks that was the brains behind Durant and Co rise to the top. Not sure who his assistant coaches were in Phily. but lets hope they are doers and not just hallway coaches.
The NBA's 5th all time stealer of the ball waits for no one and nothing!
I'm going to keep an open mind.
