BRACKETOLOGY MY THOUGHTS: - Michigan St got a terrible seed placement. They were Co champs in the Big 11, but got seeded 3 spots lower than Ohio State in the same bracket. - State is playing in the only region where 6 of the top 7 seeds were ranked in the top 5 at least once this year. (Kansas, Tennesee, Ohio St, OK St, Georgetown and MSU) - Purdue got a 4 seed when the committee knows Rob Hummel is not playing. MSU beat them without Hummel but Purdue is seeded higher? - Duke AGAIN is being asked to make the final 4. Coach k gets the easiest draws every year. Didnt they lose to michigan? -During the past calendar year, MSU has played Kansas, maryland and Ohio st already. To fake Final 4 they have to beat them all again. - Look at The kentucky Invitational. In the EAST, the toughest team is West Virginia and only beacuse they got hot. Id rather have State as the number 3 there instead of New mexico. - State lost to Florida, NC and texas on the road and shared the Big 11 with 5 losses ..ALL to Tournament teams (sans Illinois without Kalin Lucas). I think this proves Izzo needs to soften his nonconf schedule. cuz he got no credit for strength of schedule. - BUT...hopefully this has them battle reday to face Kansas in sweet 16. I just think Sharron Collins Is this years Mateen Cleaves and wont let Jayhawks lose. - But all in
