I might go berserk if the Pistons hire Bryan Colangelo. They might as well go the full 9 and re-hire Lawrence Frank to coach the team.

I think its a bit strange/worrying that we haven't heard any substantial rumours of interest/interviews yet. What are they waiting for? We need to get this ship righted pronto. The new GM has 6 weeks until the draft and less than 2 months until free agency. Not to mention hiring a new coach. What gives, Mr Gor-es?

Gores is simply waiting for us at the PF to make some better suggestions for the GM position...

That's enough to rule him out.

He is working on a mega deal to bring in Isiah Thomas/Laimbeer as co-GM's and Mahorn as the coach.

It would be disrespectful to Joe to run out and hire someone right away. Plus, they might end up with someone mildly competent if they don't wait for all the other teams to pick first.

You'll find more interesting names on the wall of a truck stop bathroom.

So Phil Jackson supposedly recommended that the Pistons hire Steve Kerr last year but Joe was too enamored with Mo Cheeks lifeless demeanor to agree. Who knows how Kerr will turn out but it sure seems like Gores giving Joe one more chance (or a chance according to the Joe supporters.) may haunt this team for years to come.
