Lions cut Berry after 2nd arrest of offseason - Yahoo! Sports
NFL players seem to have to much time on their hands with nothing to do between February and July. Are all these incidents happening back in the players home towns where they are trying to brag and hang out with their homies??
ALLEN PARK, Mich. (AP) -- The Detroit Lions have cut cornerback Aaron Berry, two days after he was arrested for the second time this offseason.
General manager Martin Mayhew says the Lions terminated Berry's contract because of personal conduct which adversely affected the team. Lions president Tom Lewand says the team has stressed repeatedly that ''there will be appropriate consequences when an expected standard of behavior is not upheld.''
-----Here's the quote from yahoo which speaks of the Lion's action against Berry, but...............What about Nick Fairley.....???????
1. He also had 2 offseason arrests........just weeks apart.
Fairly who drove 100 mph under the influence and attempted to elude police in Alabama after being arrested for marijuana just weeks prior.
.......will certainly serve a suspension once the season starts.
Obviously to me.......one player seems more valuable than the other. What's up with that???
you are correct sir.
Nick Fairly's trial pushed back........kinda like his pass rush efforts so far..........

Give the Lions credit for cutting ties with this knucklehead. The guy needs some counseling / support / etc.
27 arrests since the Super Bowl..........Lions have 4 of these (Titus twice)

Titus is not a Lion.
OK.....we'll go with that Bill.
I suppose you think Alex Karras is still a Lion....
Actually........I'll always consider Alex a Lion.......
Thanks for such a good example. He is an all time favorite of mine.
I think you can only count arrests while still with the team..... once you have parted ways with him.... and then he messes up AGAIN.... then its not on the Lions.
The Patriots do get the arrest for yesterday though.... the crime was under contract.
Just because you are arrested doesn't mean that you are guilty of anything... except in 95% of the cases.
Is that really the number? I find it hard to believe it's that high. Even if so, there have been enough recent high-profile arrests made that turned into nothing that I can't help but be skeptical. Of course, I'm speaking generally. The Hernandez case looks REALLY REALLY bad.
...typical day at the office for the Denver Squirrels.
Lions give up their titles with out a fight, as usual.
Maybe this belongs in the "jokes" thread???
