One thing for certain, those linebackers and secondary have to learn how to tackle a runner... I saw guys running by their running backs as they danced their way past the Lions arms. They need to practice grabbing their wives/girlfriends/kids and tackling them over summer with stickum.. Way to many 3rd and longs that were converted by the Saints offense...Seems like the Packers did the same thing the week before.. Giving up 90 points and over 1000 yards...in two games..... What happen to the defense that stopped the chargers on Christmas eve??
and one more thing....this Lions loss is a lost story for anyone outside Michigan, as the football world has been Tebowed again and that will be daily topic of conversation everyday until the Broncos lose.....if that happens that is.....oh by the way did he make the Pro bowl?
If you were Elway, would you trade Tebow this off season? Sell at the top of the market? I'd be tempted to. The fan backlash might be a deterrent though and you'd feel really stupid if he developed the ability to throw at his next gig and actually became a good QB.
No way! Tebow beat the Steelers in a playoff game! Tebow knows Jesus. And, most importantly, Tebow gets a ton of press, has incredible hype, and his presence guarantees that next season sell-out before the first kickoff. Elway would have to pick up Brees or Rodgers to trade Tebow.
After the 45 to 15 thrashing at the hands of Brady Bunch this weekend, yeah I'd get a good passer for competition.
You might if the number one franchise priority was to win long-term (though Tebow's making a case for himself as a permanent option as QB). The reason Elway would never do it is because owners like to make money.
