So I was bored and went through watching videos of the possible prospects that may fall to the Pistons at #8, they include Dario Saric; Marcus Smart; Julius Randle, Noah Vonleh and Tyler Ennis. Out of all those prospects the one that really stood out for me was Noah Vonleh.

Why I chose him? He stood out for me because he's 6'10 but he's very mobile and willing on defense and he has a high motor and he battles for rebounds. Also, as a perk he also has an outside shot that's continually improving. He really reminded me of a stronger Chris Bosh, who I felt would've been a perfect compliment for Andre Drummond. Even if we do keep Monroe, I think we should still take him because we really don't have any depth at PF or C.

Here's a great video that breaks his game down:

Seems like a good talent, but we need starters at the wing positions more than we need depth anywhere.

i saw him play 5 games at Indiana and not once did i feel like he was playing for the team....they need to reinstate the go after high school rule or stay 2 years minimum

I agree but I don't really see any wings worth taking at #8. We could take McDermott, who is a great offensive player, but defensively he's a bit of a liability. I like Rodney Hood too offensively but on defense he seemed very disinterested too many time. Although, I gotta admit I'm not all that familiar with all the prospects available, do you have anyone particular in mind?

Oh man, that's not good to hear. Here's to hoping we get a top 3 pick like Chicago did with D. Rose :thumb:

This guy makes absolutely no sense unless there is a plan to move some major pieces.

It makes no sense for Fad Chord to be publishing Pistons mock draft selections when they dont have a GM lined up.

I concur.....it's as if he is the GM and trying to suggest a selection to someone that does not exist yet...or Gores. We don't know what direction the new GM wants to go....heck we don't even know if we will even survive a lotto shuffle and get knocked back to nine and out yet...

We could even trade the pick if some team is crazy enough to offer a wing...and a prayer.

Weird, it's like the draft experts are just making it all up as they go.

Chad Ford was seen around the Palace three weeks ago...with a large bag of popcorn.

Unfortunately, the Pistons will not draft any player that will be a starter at the wing. To climb anywhere close to a .500 season will have to accompany some very perceptive trades/signings.

If Gordon sneaks into the top eight, then we will take leftovers from someone who has dropped. Probably Smart or Vonleh. This is not rocket science. Something even JD understood. The next GM is key.
