Monroe has not come anywhere close to reaching his passing potential. He'll get better.
Waiting for Mikal to post this, but I will drop it now so you folks turning in for the night can sleep on it
NBA trade rumors 2013: Pistons, Bucks talking Brandon Jennings sign-and-trade? - Detroit Bad Boys
I've always liked Jennings, but I'm not sure about this one.
Sent from my iPhone using the keyboard.
I am concerned about Jennings shooting too much when he should be passing.....I had him on my fantasy team last season....he was always good for 6 or 7 dimes. Once a week he would deliver 30 points, but he killed me in the shooting %.
He is who he is. A high scoring low % guard goes well with the offensive rebounders they already have. He can fly up the court and he's got heart.
How much could they possibly pay him now, $7 million per? I'm intrigued.
Jennings? Really? Eew.

So many rumors about point guards. Does that mean Joe D doesn't see Knight as a future PG? I'm afraid Jennings wouldn't be much of an upgrade over Knight. Also, Knight is still in his rookie pay scale and that's a big advantage.
both BoT and Stuckey are more worth at the trade deadline. Dumars is testing waters. Ainge of course asked too much for Rondo.
Sounds like John Hammond is desperate to trade him.
Sounds like Joe doesn't seem that desperate to acquire him.
...This could turn out good depending on what the Bucks want..
Ill trade knight and stuckey for jenningd and 1st rounder
The organization wants to win now. That is why there is Rondo and Jennings talk. The thought (in the background) is that Knight is not ready to take on the task. The team has to bring Drummond along fairly quickly. So there is a need to put an experienced point guard next to Josh, Monroe and Drummond.
I would really, really doubt any serious discussion in the organization about moving Monroe. Monroe and Drummond and now Smith are the big three. On the contrary, the team needs to plan on how to keep this big three together contract-wise down the ling.
I can see that being their train of thought. However, I don't think Knight has been given a fair chance to prove if he can really man the PG position. With the addition of Chauncey and Mo Cheeks, I believe Knight will have a break out year. He's a hard worker and he listens to coaches so I'm a fan of him succeeding in Detroit.
With an Option Like Brandon Jennings, Detroit Pistons Can Afford to Wait on Rajon Rondo | The Detroit Sports Site |
Jennings is a combo guard who can pass. Didn't he also lead the league in steals or something? He would be a good upgrade over Stuckey.
As for Knight, right now Jennings is a better player but I suspect Knight will eventually become a better "team player" than Jennings.
