    That is pretty good.

On the other hand, one has to ask, why are winning coaches so anxious to leave Palace Sports and Entertainment?

Maybe Bill L like Bill D, and now he doesn't have that personal connection there any more.

To be honest, I expected Laimbeer to leave the Shock a long time ago. TaS has a point, though. Maybe Bill D. had asked him to stay longer to really establish the Shock franchise.

Joe painted himself in the corner by hiring Curry, who is also his friend. It would just be one too many firings in a short timespan. Also, Joe did trade away the best player on the team 2 games into the season... so that makes it a little harder to throw MC under the bus. So, for the time being, we are stuck in a half rebuild scenario with a poor coach.

Why isn't cowens a head coach some where? Also, Who would be the perfect team for Laimbeer? Additionally, how many games into the season do you predict before Curry gets fired? Furthermore, Curry is due to have more success than last season. More over, that still doesn't hold well being in an up and coming conference.

Based on all accounts, I agree that the only way Laimbeer is hired by Joe at this point is if Curry resigns, which would be an even bigger shockerthan Bill's resignation.

We can all dream and speculate about Bill taking over the HC job, but if Joe was going to get rid of Curry it should have occurred the first week of May. His next opportunity will be prior to Christmas and by then Bill maybe gainfully employed by another team or ESPN or NBA tV.

Even one of the PTI guys speculated today that Patrick Chewing might get a head coaching job before Bill, because Laims might not be well liked in the NBA circles:stirthepot:

Cowens was the head coach of Charlotte Hornets in the late 90's and for a couple years for the Warriors at the turn the century.

No success there so now he just collects a check from the Pistons org to improve the skills of Sharpe, Amir, Max, and Kwame......:pound:

I always felt their was an underlying division on the Bad Boys teams. Players like Isiah, Laimbeer, and Mahorn on one side...Dumars, Sally, and Buddah on the other side. They were able to play ball as a team, but not all liked the Bad Boy image and what it stood for. I believe that Dumars would not hire somebody from the "Bad Boy' side...:stirthepot:

I am surprised he stayed as long as he did. I know its cute and everything with the 6 championship drive and all. When you think about it. Their entire payroll, what they have to spend under the cap is about $500,000 or so - roughly the same as a min contract in the NBA.

Lambier has a lot of talent but I think people are afraid of his people skills and if that would translate in the NBA. Someone is going to get a pretty good coach or GM if it does. If not then it could get quit ugly.

Low risk in starting as an assistant coach somewhere. But he does not like watching game film.

Guess Rodman would be on the bad side and Vinnie on the good side??

With Salley embarrassing himself on "I'm a Celebrity get me out of Here", maybe Laims will have to a sink reality show too if he can't get a coaching gig??:nerd2:

I don't see why they can't bring Rodman back to work with some of the young guys like Sharpe and Amir.

    I'm curious.
Does anyone know if Worm showed up to Chuck-D's funeral?

Not sure as no one ever mentioned him being there; but if you saw the last scene from the movie "Cooley High", Rodman was probably hiding behind a tree at the grave site, and then once everyone left he probably walked over there with a "40 ounce" and gave daddy rich his props, last rites and told him how much he loved him...
