Just to keep sanity intact here: Melo is in my "never ever ever want him on your team" column. That guy is totally overrated: super scorer, selfish, doesn't defend even a little, lousy guy to have on your team (selfish and petulant - not a team player).

I think Bill Simmons makes a decent point about Melo when he compares him to Paul Pierce and having the ability to smooth some of his stuff out at some point.

He's super talented and the players in the L know this. Get him in the right spot...........

No question about his talent. But he's never shown Pierce's ability and desire to compete on the defensive end.

We'll see. But I'd never bet on a team with Melo as it's "star."
