Absolutely an indictment of Rodney Stuckey. If I was a season ticket holder I'd be pretty pissed after reading that and realizing the money I wasted watching that clown pretend to be a point guard. I'm not typically negative about our players, but Stuckey is officially in my doghouse. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I read this article and it all positive about Calderon to me. I see no sense in reading negativity deep into the article about our lack of point guards. It's not like the guys we have weren't trying. They just don't have PG skillset and instincts that Calderon possesses. Hopefully, BK7 can learn from this guy.
It's sort of amazing that we have 4 guys on our roster who have played major minutes at the PG position in the NBA. It does make for some versatility now that Calderon has calmed things down a bit.
I expect to see a string of 10+ assist games from him. The raps had even worse shooter than we do. Calderon will do a good job of making sure our guys get it where they are best.
I read this article and picture the first couple of Calderon practices looking like some sort of dodgeball game with dudes repeatedly getting hit in the grill with passes from an actual point guard. Guys on this team have to be so used to watching the ball being handed-off to Prince and Stuckey that they may have to learn the simple act of catching a basketball all over again.
I have no doubt - some guys even burst in tears - he feeds me with the ball! I'm feeling like a BALLplayer again not like a odd statistical unit on the BALLcourt!
"It's totally different." said Greg Monroe "When I used to wave my hand to call for the ball while Rodney was running the point he used to wave back before he shot."
They have this All World PF, wish we'd try to make a trade for him.... think his name is Amir Johnson or something like that.... if only we had him....... LOL
I would have tossed Prince into just about any deal that could be dreamed up. The Palace should be called Joe Dumars Arena for turning Tay & Day into Jose.
Derozan is an interesting player. Amir Johnson would actually look pretty good for 25 minutes a night on this Pistons team right now.
