Our guards are dropping like flies. Pistons' backcourt in flux as Jennings could miss several weeks
Pretty soon Mo's gonna need someone like Pizza Guy to suit up at guard.
Starting the season with injuries/ailments throws everything off. Even teams that you think you should probably beat to put early wins in the bank are subject to being a possible loss.
The Pistons were 29-53 last year. Even when healthy, I don't think there will be many automatic wins.
Will Brandon Jennings Injury Impact New-Look Detroit Pistons Chemistry? | Bleacher Report
New roster, new coach. Sucks to be without Jennings. But we have Will Bynum. Will shall lead us into the black with ferocity and courage.
I'm just hoping he's not all thumbs............
There should be a forum rule against Lee baiting.
There is no comeback for that. Whether Lee likes it or not, Bynum is probably going to play a lot. And I think at least some of us are ok with that.
Even though KCP's shooting has been horrendous, Mo said he will find minutes for him because Pope plays defense and rebounds. KCP could be in the starting lineup soon rather than later.
In reality, this is a really interesting development. Stuckey is just going to be a clog on this team, and Jennings is a notoriously bad shooter. This should free up some minutes for Siva and KCP, and that should be good for the future of the franchise.
? Player Comparison That's "notoriously" bad?
Billups' TS% is like 60 points higher than Jennings'.
Bear in mind, that is a Championship MVP, and All Star level Billups. I will ask again, is Jennings a "notoriously" bad shooter? Or do we perhaps have a difference of opinion on what "notorious" means?
For a scoring PG, Jennings numbers are pretty average btw.
Did anyone catch where the hairline fracture of the jaw came from? An impacted wisdom tooth I can understand. Are the two related somehow?
My guess is it happened either when The Game punched him in the mouth this summer or when he got punched during that summer league game. Dude's an instigator. Sent from the new and improved Tapatalk 2.
The knock on Jennings shooting, is that he takes circus shots late in the clock. His side of the story is that he was forced to in Milwaukee because the only other scorer was Monta Ellis. If you've seen Jennings play he's a pretty good jump shooter, particularly a long range shooter. This is a guy who can make tough shots. No, he's not the second coming of Pistol Pete. Yes, he's much better than any of our guards have been in some time. The question will be, whether Jennings can settle in as a 3rd or 4th shooting option and deliver the passes that Smith, Monroe, Drummond and our SG/SF need to be effective.
I think you're on to something.
Maybe Dumars needs to get Eminem and 50 to call a truce between Jennings and the Game.
