I thought it was strange when they brought in David Akers last week. I wonder if they will try to draft a kicker now.

Jason Hanson....classy Lion, true professional....congrats on a very impressive career....can't say that about a Lion every day.

Won't be considered for the HOF because he's a kicker he played for the Lions.

So far Stenerud is the only pure kicker in the HOF, but some others who did double duty like George Blanda, Paul Hornung and Lou the Toe Groza, are in. Maybe Jason should have played safety a few times...

When the committee meets, I am sure that his supporters will present these numbers in comparison and despite the Lions lean years, they should reward him for be the one constant glue in Detroit for those 21 years.

Creating an accuracy chart for kickers would be interesting so that you could see how their percentage drops off with distance. Some kickers probably excel at different distances relative to the average.

That is the reason I liked him above all other kickers.............

Only Devin Hester made him look bad once.

At the 2:51 mark of this video.........

He tore up the Vikes and Packers on this video.......only one against us.........

    Not bad........Jason Hanson. :)

Yea, it's not a good sign when your kicker has more tackles than some of your D-linemen....
