Maybe we can get something out of him with a sign-and-trade...
You guys take it as a bad sign that he's "hoping and praying" for an option outside of Detroit?
SVG and Bowser need to get out in front of this thing.
Working WITH Monroe and his agent might yield a good package in some kind of sign and trade deal.
Greg Monroe tells Nakia Hogan of The Times-Picayune that he wouldn’t rule out
the possibility of Stan Van Gundy getting success out of a Pistons frontcourt
featuring Monroe, Josh Smith, and Andre Drummond. Monroe is preparing
to field offers as a restricted free agent, and would still be content to remain in Detroit.
“Most people would rather, if possible, not to have to go through it and just re-sign
with the team they are with so you can have some stability and be secure,” Monroe
said. “Right now it’s like the draft process all over again. You don’t know if you will
have to change cities or where you will end up. It’s a good thing that there are
teams out there that want me. But at the end of the day, if I didn’t have to do it,
I wouldn’t have a problem with that either.”
Oh, darn, he wants to stay!
We're forgetting that Monroe is in New Orleans where Jeff Bowser had his greatest success outside of Marist College. He's got to be getting influenced by the mystique.
You are relentless.
I feel bad for Bowers the dude gets a lot of flak on this forum and probably hasn't been assigned an office yet.
He looked a lot better in the photo from his press conference, but I have had a hard time getting over the photo someone posted here when he got hired where he looked like a total dufus.
He looked like Sgt. Shultz brother.
You're not helping, Nemo!
I think Jack Brower will turn out to be one heck of a GM...
I found some exclusive footage of Bowsers interview with SVG. I can see why he got the job.
Now I'm feeling bad. It turns out GM Jeff Bowser might have some difficulty finishing his assigned tasks, but he brings a wealth of experience from the college game with him to the job.
His intimate knowledge of prospects that aren't good enough to get drafted must be a great resource to have around 5 Lottery Drive.

How can he have a valid opinion on anything if he hasn't watched all the games?
Maybe he's busy looking at his Smart Phone instead...or just eating popcorn...
He has not watched the games.
The handful he did watch, he probably watched at regular speed, and from the wrong angles.
Perhaps he watched 3 or 4 games and started getting sick to his stomach.
Browser is behind the 8-ball alright. He's still got all the Trent Plaisted and Deron Washington tape to get through too.
Maybe he keeps falling asleep like I did?
