All Milwaukee needs is a good pure shooter like Daye.
We could sign Gilbert Arenas. He might literally blow the organisation up.
I'm finding it hard to be optomistic when those good few wins and win streaks are further and further in the rear view mirror. I'm probably more sad and angry than the past few years as there was always the hope we had good young players and a rebuild would come. Now it seems that the rebuild has started and we've picked the wrong horses (Smith, Jennings, Mo) and the good young players are either gone (BK7) or just not that good (Monroe).
We haven't quite passed out face first into a urinal and officially hit rock bottom yet... but we are close. Things that might take us over the edge: major clash between players and coach, some sort of brawl, firing Cheeks and replacing him with Lawrence Frank, serious injury to a key player, the moving of the franchise to Las Vegas.
Cheeks is not the guy to lead this team. That much is very clear.
Makes you all nostalgic for Flip.
I don't care what the rumours say about Phil and Gores overriding Dumars, the Mo hire is as much Dumars as it can get. ~10 seasons of proven losing, reputation of being lazy and no other bidders over a guy who brought his team to the WCF or coach of the year - that's a Dumars move and not a Jackson move. Even if you put lipstick on something clueless, it's still clueless.
I haven't been posting much, but it's mostly due to my insane frustration and the likelihood that I would have to keep posting the same thing over and over again. This team has talent. It does NOTHING with it on the floor. THAT's on coaching. Yes, some guys are not playing well, but the decision making process has to be solid. Your job as coach is to put the talent you have in the best position to succeed and Cheeks has done that about 3 games so far. You have one of the most dominant big man corps in the entire NBA and you manage to make it WORSE by the All-Star break. YOU are a bad coach if this is how it goes down. You have a player who's BEST defensive ability includes fouling just in time to give the opponent a 3 pt play and being late getting back to open shooters 100% of the time, but he's ALWAYS 1st off the bench. You also have a favorite offensive "weapon" that you force feed for long stretches when OTHER PLAYERS have the hot hand EVEN WHEN that "weapon" is ICE COLD. YOU are a bad coach. You have a big man who hustles off the bench, but he plays almost as much as the stretch 4 who's season opening injury you maligned at "laziness." You also lose 6 straight games and have managed to change NOTHING except where you hold pre-game shoot arounds....REALLY? YOU are a BAD COACH.
He moved the shoot arounds to the palace? I'm upping his grade to a D+.
Low, thank you for opening up to us.
Thanks the Pwn Toney, too.
Ok, so I'm putting this in here as a serious thing. I just watched the Bill and Jalen second Birdmester videocast thingy and they talked about a trade between Indiana and Detroit for Danny Granger. Now, the important thing here is that Indiana cannot take on any long term contracts because they want their $ to resign Lance Stephenson next year. Fair enough. I tend to agree with that. And they brought up a trade for Rodney Stuckey and Danny Granger. Now there has been a couple of guys on this forum who have wanted for us to get Danny G and I believe these same people have been vocal proponents of removing Rodney from the team. So here is how it looks NBA Trade Machine - ESPN Unfortunately this trade fails. Not suprising given Granger's large contract (14m). How do other Pistonites figure that we can make this work??
NBA Trade Machine - ESPN
You add Jonas' $4.5M to the deal, but bthey may not want to pay his salary next season, so you do Stuckey and Charlie V for Granger.
When you finish the trade click 'save trade' and copy that URL. What about adding Jerebko and trying to get back Chris Copeland??
