"OK guys, now rub his head for good luck," said JD.
Maybe it's a bit of silver tongue reading rubbing off on me, the injection of new Pistons to place hope on, or maybe its as simple as not watching us play (and lose), but I am feeling good (not necessarily thrilled) about next season.
Hell, I'm not as upset about the Mo hire now.
It's all about:
The hope for more improvement in Monroe, Knight and Drummond.
The hope for another surprise draft pick.
The hope for coach Sheed
On Sheed, I don't even care if he's just paid to hang out at practices and yell jokes at people - I just want him back around the Pistons!!

+1 for me too, I'm so pumped to see summer league now. I think I'll even sign up for the 15 dollar stream that includes all the games archived too. Just wanna see some of these guys running up and down the court. Should give us some excitement about the upcoming season.
Couple of things:
Singer and Middleton must be thrilled to hear Dumars say that the Pistons are "desolate" on the wings. Ouch!
Other thing. Kentavious is the coolest name ever. Please, please, don't call him KCP. The recent NBA trend of nicknaming players from their initials and jersey numbers is so lazy and unoriginal. CP3? BK7? Turrible. I like (was it Ernie? BDL? that came up with it...) Pope Kentavious. That's sweet.
Also, to reduce confusion between Kentavious and Ken English (cuz I know people will shorten Kentavious to KCP or Ken), let's how about Ken English as Kenglish?
I don't start polls. but we may need one to choose the right one to submit to Mason so he doesn't mess it up:
The Palace Pope
Pope of Kent
Pope Kent I (the first)
The Prince, the Pope, and the fearless Knight.
Pope Kentavious has a nice ring to it though.
That's what my thought was, too. My Spider sense is tingling after reading all those fluff pieces.
I'm incredibly thrilled about the chance to have Sheed back on board, though!
Let's face it, no one has ever confused Kyle Singler with an athlete.
He can run, dunk, and shoot.
Probably the kind of guy where if you saw him off the court, you'd realize what a specimen he is. But compared to the athletic SF's in the NBA, he's below average.
I'm fine with having Singler on the team. He earned a spot.
I'm not saying he can't play bball, or isn't an NBA player, but he's not what you'd traditionally consider "athletic" in an NBA context.
Why nobody is talking about Corey Brewer?
You'd rather have Chauncey Billups.
Yup give me good ole' #1!
