Daye looked scared in the first 2 games. In his first 2 seasons, he showed that he can contribute (okay defense, 10 points, 4 boards, a three per game). I think he will bounce back once a regular rotation settles in. He still needs to hit the weight room.
We went up plus 8 in Daye's 6 minutes of play. I will take horrible play like that all day long. To be specific, he was plus 4 with Ben and JMAX up front and Knight and Gordon in the backcourt, then plus 4 with the same front court with Stuckey and Knight in the backcourt. The most incredible thing, cause the good D is to be expected from this group, is that they managed to score despite Ben Wallace and JMAX being paired together. Daye did force maybe a little bit due to the situation, missing all three of his shots, but the unit overall played fine at both ends. Indeed, the best basketball we saw all night. (Us scoring - them not.)
