I agree. He has the fastest hands since Rodney White.

Seriously though, I don't see why he couldn't be a 25+ scorer. He just needs a jump hook to go along with a power dunk. I could see him killing guys with a running hook.

Its a small sample size for sure.... but with whats happened in the last week....

Try to trade Max and Stuck before the deadline for whatever we can get....

Over the summer work to this as a roster

    Calderon Rookie pg
    BK English
    Singleton Middleton/JJ
    Monroe CV/JJ
    Drummond Krav

BK and English are interchangeable.... but as I say later, I don't want them upgraded unless its a homerun of an upgrade.

Vet PG, Vet def Center, Vet swing man (all on smallish salaries as insurance for injury)

Keep working for a swing for the fence trade for an Alpha wing man.. but don't settle if you can't get them (or get as a FA if we can)... but above all else don't settle or just sign somebody to say you signed somebody....

Well Joe has often said he won't do a trade just for the sake of doing a trade, lets hope that translates to his free agency purse strings too.

Ben Gordon might opt out of his $13M player option when he hears about Joes plans to hit the free agent market with loads of cap space.

If stuck wasnt making so much, I'd be pretty happy with the role he's been playing off the bench as the guy that gets tough baskets in the paint and the guy who gets to the line. He was a bully last night.

Sixers Notes: Report: Sixers exploring trade of Evan Turner

I'd have to watch a ton of tape on the guy, but I think he may be coming into his own. He's a 2 guard all day long, but he may be a ball stop 2-guard who dominates the ball, but with Calderon, Turner, Singler and Monroe, that's a whole lot of skill on the court. Plus Turner has turned into quite the defensive stalwart in his 3rd season.

If he gave you 19 points on 5-9 shooting in less than 30mpg, I'd have no problem with his contract number. Heck if he could come off the bench and give you an efficient 13-15 ppg without being a ball stop I'd be happy, even at $8M+/year.

At this point we really need to get some quality FA's. Even with all the cap space I fear another sub 30 win season and we may not even get Calderon to stay. Its absolutly crucial that we start showing some signs of a real upcoming team. Playoffs may be out of the question but if we can at least look like we could have then who knows. Can only go so far building out of the draft alone.

Calderon will stay if he gets some love. I don't think he has anywhere else to go, since I can't think of a contender team which has either a) the money to sign him or b) the need for a pure point guard.

Also, we're close to Toronto geographically. It's less than a 5 hour drive (assuming Customs isn't backed up) from the Palace to the Greater Toronto Area.

Does Calderon have ties to Toronto?
