Like I said....if you're going to go all in on BK (and Joe is), then go ALL IN! See here's the thing......there's nowhere else for the money to go and it's better than just wasting the Cap Space, which we will ultimately end up doing. At least this time we're paying a washed up player that we all know and love.

    FA: Max, Maggette, Bynum, Calderon
    Picks: Pope, Mitchell, Siva

    The current depth chart

    BK, Stuckey, Siva
    Pope, English
    Singler, Middleton
    Monroe, Mitchell, JJ, Chaz
    Dre, Krava

We obviously need a starting SF and with GM starting at PF we need a backup C. If Stuckey is gone we'll need a another PG but since no plan not involving a white van is going to get Paul here and the rest of the FA PGs are either chuckers or suck it's more likely to be a backup PG or Calderon. Knowing Joe, I wouldn't be shocked to see Stuckey start in November.

As of today, we still aren't a playoff team.

No, it looks like a 30-40 wins team. With a SF like Iggy things look alot better.

You're correct...of course, but I would consider this Chauncey deal better than the one that JD signed Stuckey to several years back.

To fix the gap at the PG spot, I think we should give a 3 yrs/$21.0 M contract to go with the starting job for Jarret Jack. Then move Knight to a 6th man role.

Knight could start at the SG.

Jarret Jack has a broken jump shot, which makes life difficult for Moose and Dre. Jack is best suited to be a backup PG and he's the best one in the league......so I'd sign him to be BK's backup. But I'm pretty sure that Jack will ultimately end up starting over BK, which makes you correct to begin with :frusty:

    Over Pope Kentavious? NO WAY!

I am fine with a 3-guard rotation of Calderon, Knight, Pope Kentavious

Ken English and Little Siva can play a few minutes when necessary.

You're getting closer. There is a distinct reason you are hearing rumors of JD going after Bledsoe (although is he not worth what he will command). This doesn't mean he has given up on Knight, but the best placement for him is coming off the bench in any combo fashion, until some decisions can be made about his future. Teague (restricted) is young, but worth some probing on the Piston's part. Jack (unrestricted) is a very solid player and I've always liked his maturity. Still, I would try one more approach and that would be having a talk with Mo Williams. He's unrestricted and only 30 years old. Remember, the Pistons need offense and who can hit a mid-range jumper to open thing up? You need go no further than Williams to answer that question.

You sure that a "start me or I sign elsewhere" player is who we're looking for.

Knight won't be coming off the bench. I guarantee it.

Damn straight! I want a PG that has an attitude and who has been through some wars. I want a PG who looks around the war zone and when making it out; understands the seriousness of the situation that a certain redness coming out of him is his own blood. That's what it took for Chauncey. I would take that chance on Mo Williams. And believe me, the Pistons need that type of seriousness.

    I'd prefer a leader...but a warrior is also needed.

Knight needs to be able to run some pick and rolls if he is going to stay at the 1.

If Mitchell gets PT then the Pistons need to be a lob city. Knight needs to be aggressive and not Bob Cousy Jr.

Thats way too much money for Jack. Not that I would suggest signing him in the first place.

I say sign Iggy, P. Millsap or D. West and J. Calderon or J. Jack.

Martell Webster - long, athletic, talented shooting young wing - is a dark-horse.
